The 3 games I won (1, 2 and 4) paper had a slow quanta. The game I lost I had a 1 pend draw. The decks seemed to be on par with each other, but RNG favoured us a lot.

getting 0 pillars/pend for most of the game in game 1/2 = I lose
game 3 was just a tad better but andre failed his own quanta so I won.
gme 4 I had 3 early pillars but got my 1st nova late... a 2nd nova would have saved me as I had nm in hand waiting to clog his empty hand... instead he killed me with exact damage on last turn by drawing a mummy.

What a nice and simple deck by death. Hit things. Can't hit ? Then poison. My favorite r3 deck so far.

If :life uses a mono rush, it would be screwed in mere secs.
If :death uses a mono rush several times in War, it is going to win most of its matchups.

Well yes, unfortunately for Life, Death has both shield bypass, CC resistance (Life has a little in Dragon) and ramping damage in its mono rush. This isn't mainly a rush (despite being capable of 5 ttw, Purify, Deflag and Nightmare changes that with a normal draw) though; it's for beating CC decks. It winning here looks like something that wouldn't happen in a majority of games as andre said.
