Game 1:
Vange is full-deck so 27-ish turns I need to stall. I get a decent draw (probably good compared to my future draws) at start and spam Sanc, BW's, Retro's, and Plagues as the Recluses roll out weaving in some SoD and maybe a Miracle. D/c late late game and I win both sides (without revealing Sundial on my side - surely the AI spammed them though >.<).
Game 2:
Vange gets a SILLY fast quanta draw and near-empty hand Fractals T4-ish and I am over-run with my 1 quanta opening... * turn loss. :-/ Uh oh...
Game 3:
I was VERY nervous about trying to find my first BW - was very key in this matchup for stalling and combo-ing with Dial/Plague/Retro in defending. In this game I had all kinds of stall power happening but first BW was on my 29th card... just in time to stall out barely.
*There are reports of misplay from Vange here but I didn't really see it in my view from in-the-heat-of-battle perspective.
Game 4:
Another 1 quanta opening draw for me but luckily Vange had a VERY slow time getting around to fractal-ing. This meant I could set up at my own pace and wait for ANOTHER late-late BW... got it topdeck style and then it was more simple to stall out to deckout win.
*There are reports of possible misplay this game too - but again I did not notice it glaring at me during playing the duel...
Gg's Aether and enjoy your other matches and the event.
