Game 1: A good starting hand with a pillar, a pend, and two novas. I got three Graboids out early, although a quick Fog Shield did very well at slowing them down. A Mind Flayer was Kaker's first creature, and I opted to save the Lightning in my hand and play Liquid Shadow on it, instead. It died quickly and graboids arrived to replace it later. The first to evolve took the Lightning. I played more Graboids and Gargoyles as more of Kaker's Graboids and a Lycan appeared, desperately trying to land hits through the Fog and waiting out the Basilisk Blood. Neither of my Steals were anywhere to be found, but Fog couldn't stop everything.
Game 2: My starting hand contained no pillars and no pendula. I went through the majority of this game playing only what I could pay for using my mark and the novas that I drew. Thankfully, I started with two Novas that allowed me to play my CC cards as I drew them and my Dagger (a literal life-saver), and evolve the early Graboids I put out. Kaker petrified them with his Basilisk Blood quickly whilst getting out his own Shriekers. A Shockwave and a Lightning removed two from the field, letting my Dagger minimize the damage I was taking. Shriekers emerged from their stone prisons only to be doused with Basilisk Blood once more. I drew one pend near the end that let me finally play one of the Darkness cards in my hand, a Gargoyle, helping in the final stretch. I drew a pillar on the last turn. A little late there, pillar. We're not friends anymore.
