Round 1: I had a decent balanced draw in my hand (of pendulums and creatures), so I decided to play them as is. I was fully expecting Pervepic to spam Shockwaves or Lightnings, but perhaps because of the fact that Parasites did so little damage overall, he didn't bother wasting such precious CC on them. It only took me a few turns to realize that instead of a potential Phase Shield stalling deck, he was actually doing Fractal Firefly Hope, and I began worrying about how to penetrate his shield. Luckily, with enough of my Parasites on the field and a little doll, I still managed to penetrate his Hope shield and poison him, AS WELL as infecting all of his little Fireflies (they died and built up my Bone Wall instead). His Golden Dragon had no chance being infected with two poison counters against my stacked shield (Over 10 counters of Bone Wall). I then won 1-0.
Round 2: Got an early Arsenic out and built some decent poison against him, but my Parasites were still on the way. He initially had no pendulums/pillars, but began racking up quanta very quickly after getting an Aether Tower and an upgraded Air Pendulum on the board. He shockwaved one of my Parasites, but I brought up two more and began infecting the Voodoo Doll instead to build up as much poison as possible, all the while infecting his Fireflies to try to build up my Bone Wall (with no avail).
Had I not did my tricky little voodoo techniques that 927 was shouting at me in public chat, this wouldn't have occured:
And I won. 2-0. Fantastic games Pervepic, but poison tends to ruin all Hope.
