RNG decided to do some screwy things in this match.
Game 1 - I start with a 3 Nova hand and manage to drop a turn 1 graboid, but that was basically all I could do for the rest of the game. mrblonde deflagged the 2 UGs I played, and I only drew a fog shield, pillars and novas for the rest of the game.
Game 2 - This time I had the opposite problem, and only drew one nova. Fortunately, mrblonde had a similarly ineffective hand, so I managed to recover and started hitting him with my graboids. I also played a purify midgame after he dropped several poisons, which negated 6 poison counters. He doesn't manage to get much damage out, and I win by a decent margin.
Game 3 - This game also started off slowly, mrblonde was low on pillars and I was stuck on one nova. Eventually we got going, and it turned into a real nail biter. mrblonde reduced me to 1 hp with 2 dragons on the field and I still needed 2 turns to deal enough damage to kill him. mrblonde's draw failed him, and then haxx shield pulled through for me, hitting the ~1 in 6 chance to block both dragons.
