He won both coin tosses. Didn't matter, I had more cards in my deck, so deck outs would be won by me.

First game I got a second turn pulvy and a third turn titanium shield, he got like 3 frogs out on his second turn, but the titanium shield stopped them shortly after. Played an oty a couple turns later and just ate all his stuff. He did play a dragon or two, but they were eaten right away.

Second game was a somewhat slow start, but he got a slow start too and I was able to get a pulvy and an oty out on turn three I think. Got a second oty two or three turns later to seal the deal. He managed to play a couple druids but they were several rounds after my oty's. No sweat.

GG dragon, this deck is well balanced and a great counter to life. I don't think there was much you could have done without getting a second/third turn druid.

I blame bad draws for this loss, but meh whatever it is what it is

I won both coin tosses however first hand netted me with an amethyst pillar and the rest life creatures. Luckily I got an emerald pillar and was able to get a rustler out kinda early however I was never able to draw a druid until he already had his otygh out and could never draw a second one.
Second round netted me some rustlers and novas but still couldn't get a druid out to save my life

The major idea of this deck was to mutate away those otygh problem. Nova Rustlers gave me less reliance on life pillars and allowed me modify my deck to help the other players. Frogs/ rustlers provided a source of mutatees (or however it'd be spelt)

and I probably would've won with an early druid out, but no I didn't get it

in testing I always had a good hand consisting of a few novas, some amethyst pillars, a rustler or 2 and a druid so I decided to sub in a discord to cause some damage since I figured I would always have a druid to use

Ah well.  That deck was a hail mary anyway.  Statistically, we should have gotten a first turn druid approximately 70% of the time.  Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

God dammit.

That shouldn't have happened.

We had the perfect counter!  Creature control for the otyugh, which would have worked no matter what it's size, and mutations to get rid of shields, pulverizer, or to just use momentum.  That absolutely SHOULD NOT have happened.  Second turn Elf's happened nine out of every ten tests with this deck.  I'm willing to bet if you two played again, dh would win by a landslide.
