Fractal devourers and minor vamps versus speed poison with chrysaoras. The last time I played out such a matchup was against Jmizzle in a weekend tournament (unupped)--was a close match but in the end I lost with the poison. Once I saw my opponent's strategies I was quite confident of the win.

In game 1 Malduk drew 2  pillars. I found 3 devourers early in my deck to put him in stasis. Once fractal was drawn, the win was sealed. Game 2 was a slightly more spirited fight. Malduk managed to deploy one chrysaora and one arsenic. I picked a timing to out a dimensional shield while playing devourers and minor vampires simultaneously. The healing ultimately decided the game.

Nothing to do with skill, this was pure deckbuilding.

1st game, complete lockdown from the turn 2. I think the only card I managed to play was 1 chrysaora without quanta to poison. I drew my second pillar when he already had his board set with devourers.

2nd game, I managed to do some rushing. Think the poison counter was at 12 when he managed to get control of the board, play Dim Shield to prevent Arsenic, and it was a matter of time before he fractaled enough vampires to outheal the damage.

Any shield to slow down some healing would maybe make it possible for poison to chew down his HP bar, but it is late for that now.

I think  and  are very compatible, since i started playing the game those were my favourite 2 elements and they still are. One day  will rule the world of elements, about the matches Poison + Congeal are no match for quanta denying
