But... dark domins aren't original... there's even a wiki page on how to make them since War 5/6
I wasn't referring to dark domins, though I really like this certain build. But take Team Aether for example; he has gone YOLO and won with some of the most original war decks I've ever seen. In the end, the market price system with shards open more deck possibilities than the previous system...
ftr, the components of this build is pretty standard. The distribution is pretty good though, considering it's a sideboard, so props for the optimization.
Yes, the market system is working really well to fuel creativity. Of course war conditions always force the best teams to innovate more and more, so you will see a fair share of ingenious decks each war. But in previous wars it was often little adjustments and tweaks, which really changed the dynamic but didn't seem so special to the observer. This war people have been finding pretty awesome decks, much more than last time, and I do hope the decks play a more significant role moving forward.
Just so you know, Aether hasn't really gone YOLO with their decks. Almost all of their new decks are designed for specific matchups which Aether has had trouble with in the past. Of course Team Aether deserves applause for coming up with these ideas and optimizing them. But now that they have been revealed the other teams will undoubtedly prepare for them, and Aether might be forced to return to the old conventions. I look forward to seeing if aether can respond to the next challenge with even more innovation.
