6 creatures and 1 weapon vs 6 CC and 2 explosions is a bad recipe. I had 6 CC for his 5 creatures, but mine were mostly not lethal to his phoenixes... which bought me time, but could not buy me victory.
Game 1: I got a slow start off of 1 pillar and by the time I got things going I was in a huge hole. He finished me without much struggle.
Game 2: I got a pulvy and he had no explosion... so he couldn't keep faren... and then lost all pillars/pends. Unfortunately I didn't get many creatures which meant he had all the time in the world to find the phoenixes to chip away at me. Felt like this one was closer than 50, and had I gotten a BB instead of a shockwave for a late phoenix it may have been very close.
Game 3: He dropped 6 pillars turn 1. I played a grabboid and a pulvy on turns 2/3. Having just seen that I could not really outlast him I tried to speed it up. The last 2 cards in his hand were deflag and a bolt. Then we both stared at each other's empty field for a long time. He got some guys but I had CC for them. About the time he had 60 fire quanta he dropped the second fahrenheit for 17 damage. The next turn he threw 2 bolts into me for the win.
Well played UTAlan.
