I don't think they were overconfident just ended up facing some very strong decks that they just couldn't finish off.

And I say that putting 6 lightnings in one deck would give them an easy victory. I could not go beyond 40% winrate with my deck while testing versus the AI! I was really hoping that they would suicide against my team, because our chances were slim.

It boils down to boredom. Once there's no challenge left and only paperwork and RNG, War isn't fun anymore. I'd rather invest my time in more rewarding pursuits.

I cant believe that aether's moral can be so low after dominating 3/4 of war(seriously, before this mass chain of fail you were dominating).

You can theorize and call it anything: laziness, low morale, overconfidence, but the only relevant factor is lack of motivation. We're in this game within a game to have fun. If it's not fun anymore, winning doesn't matter. I remember the fun of the early rounds, and I might want to experience that again, but this dragged out paperwork-fest hasn't been fun for many. I also didn't expect this to go on for four frickin' months. Haven't had much time for it the last 2 rounds.

Higs no offense but I hear that kind of thing in other games too when someone who was winning gets knocked down to the others level or beaten. They claim they don't really care anymore, ect... Sorry but you do sound just like them.

Sure. It does stop being fun, so it only makes sense. The difference is that War is fun while it's a struggle: a challenge. Once you know all the vaults and likely decks, it's just paperwork.

No offense but thats why I never considered you one of the better masters. Not because of your skill, there was never any question about that, you have shown through this war nhow skillful you are, aether was feared, but because I had a feeling when it really mattered, you just didnt care enough. I hope everyone will remember this attitude once trials come around again. A Master should be ready to pull their team through to the bitter end, whether its defeat, or victory. Not being able to handle war is one of the key reasons I never tried out for being a master. It seems there are other people that should have taken that into consideration when they entered trials.

I've never abandoned my team. They became just as bored as me, but we've still been pumping out decks. Forcing this to go on when it's not fun doesn't improve anyone's day, but we've done it for the integrity of the event and out of respect for others and ourselves.

I figured I would get a bunch of posts where people judge me. It's very easy to do. If it's not fun, you're not gonna enjoy it though, and that's the end of that. Doesn't mean we've not still fighting. Just means we're doing it out of duty instead of fun. That's caring alright. :>
