War is over. As I promised, I will explain what our plan was.
THE PLAN:
Step 1)
All cool cards for majofa, scraps for Zeru. ~ COMPLETE
Step 2)
Fire > Light - done
Death > Fire - done
Death > Darkness - done
Light > Entropy COMPLETE
Light > Time COMPLETE
Light > Death
Step 3)
majofa gets a neat title.
Planning to plan the planBasically, with an event card like this the win condition was: (Zeru defeats: Fire, Death and Darkness/Earth) or (majofa defeats: Entropy, Time/Gravity, other finalist). Also, the team gets eliminated after a single loss. So there is no plan B. After an analysis of the enemy vaults I realized that the hardest matches would be Time and Darkness. From there it was a simple choice. majofa would have to be as strong a possible to defeat Time. I on the other hand had to make sure that Darkness is not the other finalist.
Conclusion aka finishing the plan.I quickly realized that I did not need to try to make majofa as strong as possible. Instead of directly trying to defeat Darkness myself, I would use other teams for that purpose. Whether Fire or Death would win in round 2, both would have a nice chance against them. So it turned out that my further participation in war was not only unnecessary but
bad for the team and that was unacceptable.
Post war thoughtsIt's funny. I rarely plan out stuff to that kind of detail (come on, my plan assumed that I guess all match results correctly), but somehow I did an exception this time. And guess what. Each and every single match result was guessed correctly (too bad I didn't play that betting contest). I could not help but to write "just as planned" in all the battle threads. It never went as nicely as this time.
In the end, the plan was complete. Thanks to giving majofa as many cards as possible, we managed to win all our matches. Thanks to my early elimination, we received an "easier" opponent as the other finalist. What could possible go wrong at that point?
Oh well. It was definitely a great event. GGs all.
