First game: No discord before turn 8 and no nymph for me. He could lock me down with his Dim Shields and fractalled Golem. Then no shield before the end. I died. 0-1
Second game: Early discord. He started to chain the dim shields when he had 37 health. Then my nymph jumped in to counter his golem. Then my shield allowed me to survive till his chain broke, and rebroke. I finished with EM. 1-1
Last Battle: Almost same scenario. He started to chain the dim shields when he had 7 health. But the chain didn't broke untill I had only one card and 4 health left. Then I finished him. 2-1

It was a great game. Very stressing. I think finished with a 220bpm heartbeat. Thanks Korugar.

That was an amazing match to watch. The purple nymph and relative expense of the hematite golem ended up being the decisive factors. Better luck next time korugar, and congrats to snoweb for the (close) victory!

Are you sure he started chaining at 37 in the second game? When I started watching he was at 14.

Tough luck, too. One turn late on the kill and he ran out of shields. Nice games, though.

SnoWeb said it pretty well.

First game he didn't get some of his best cards until it was too late, and by then my shields were up and my golems many.

Second game he Discorded me, though I was still able to get a shield up and stop the scrambling. Still, when my golem rush was getting started he played two cards I hadn't seen from the previous round, pandemonium and purple nymph. They sufficiently wrecked my rush, though I was able to keep chaining shields. I wasn't keeping track during the last game, but I think I had another shield left in my deck when he killed me, which would have let me deck him out.

Third game was a lot like the second, except he got his nymph out even earlier this time. This time I kept track of shields, and I know that I had another in my deck when I ran out. He won with four hit points, which, had I done things slightly different at a couple points would have been gone.

All in all, they were a good set of very nerve wracking games :)

He's probably right. I was watching how much damage he could do, and left a turn in between shields to make them last a turn longer during that game. It didn't end up helping, but I'd have beat myself up later if I hadn't done it.

I didn't get to see the fight, but it sounds close.

Gratz to SnoWeb, and kudos for making use of pandemonium.

Yeah, thanks for helping me with testing. The thing we didn't count on was the purple nymph, and I think it would be fair to say that it won the game for SnoWeb both games.

Earth is one of our toughest opponents. Congrats SnoWeb for a great match! Purple Nymphs have their uses, eh!? :P Last-minute deck addition ftw.

sounds like a nice battle korugar! Win or lose any good battle is a win in my book. Gratz SnoWeb, entropy has been a tough opponent this round.
