Basically, I figured water would use a control deck because that's just what Essence does
. So I used this deck to keep the creature control from getting to me. I tested it verse speed poison and it did great, and I figured it would win versus mind flayers/todafish/arctic squids. Hence, I went with this for the matchup, banking on a control oriented deck. I was right. The only thing I was worried about was some kind of healing with ice shield.
Game 1: We DCed from eachother late in game, but I had a stone skin with 45 earth and a miracle in hand with two stars out and he had around 30 health.
Game 2: No stone pillars on the draw, but I got them and was able to make 3 stone skins worth 20 or so hp each. But I didn't really need them; I had two stars out and drew two miracles. I only needed one and won right after it, so the skins were kinda unneeded >_<.
