First off, thanks for some enjoyable and very intriguing games, melendr
This is the deck I used for Round 1.

I told you
had surprises up its sleeve. This was one of them. Pure damage. Some stalling and just a touch of creature control finish the picture. I was pretty confident, and I guess it payed off. (Wait what)
Round 1:Melendr pulled out a pretty interesting deck. He had a
mark and I really had no idea what to expect. But I soon found out. He had a beautiful opening draw, sending out a Fog Shield and several Poisons within the first few turns. He figuratively bled me dry with the poison, which stacked all the way up to 10 throughout the game. I got a pretty bad draw, only getting 2
pillars. I played my Frogs cautiously, and was greeted by a storm of Shockwaves. He drew a lot of that; those and his Fog Shield, combined with my lack of
, slowed my offense down considerably. Near the end, however, I drew more
pillars and managed to accumulate enough damage to rival his. He pulled out a couple Mummies, I countered with Dimensional Shields... but in the end, it was his poison that was my undoing. I lost by one turn.
And then, the biggest surprise of all: He had used the wrong deck! The deck he posted in the
thread did not have mummies in it. We deliberated. We weren't sure of the rules - should we restart? Count it as my win? Blow something up? I contacted Scaredgirl. She did not respond, which was understandable considering I gave her about 5 seconds to respond. Antagon proposed a solution, which sounded good to me. We just continued playing, assuming that it was a restart. So we did.
Round 2:Melendr got another brilliant draw, but I was prepared. My draw wasn't too shabby itself. And given two good draws, the better deck wins. And mine was better. He got a Fog Shield, a couple Poisons, and a couple Shockwaves set up pretty fast, but my 8 Frogs came a'knocking not much slower than his offense. The number only increased from there, reaching 15 in a matter of turns. I ran him down, no questions asked. 1-0.
Round 3:We both got bad draws. Again, in a situation like this, the better deck wins. I ran him down with only a couple Frogs. 2-0.
Again, good games indeed.
claims its first triumphant victory... expect MANY more to come!
