An early Trident and Squid managed to slow him down enough that I could out damage him this game. His Discord was kind enough to give me water quanta whenever I needed it for more freezing.

Game 2 (LOSS) & 3 (WIN):

2: I got a good start with 2 early Novas,  Forest Spirit and Toadfish. He got a Maxwells out, which I was able to infect before he killed the Toadfish, but my Grabboid was stalled unevolved for a couple of turns. I was nervous of Antimatter but I decided to keep on the offensive as his damage was starting to build up. As soon as I got close to winning out came an Antimatter and then his Diss shield. Fog stalled him long enough for my Spirit to grow back to only -1 attack but without drawing the Explosion there was nothing I could do.
3: I managed a turn 2 Trident again with the Squid coming not long after. Similar to game 1.

Game 4 (LOSS):

I had a 1 pend/no nova opening hand but still managed to get my offence out slightly quicker. Maxwell's kept my Grabboids buried and his damage started piling up. Towards the end he was 2 attacks from winning with me to play. I had enough damage to win first but only if I unburrowed my Grabboids and prayed for no Antimatter. Unfortunately it wasn't to be.

Game 5 (WIN):

I got an early Sword while he had a slower pend start than other games. He got a Maxwell out quite quickly so Grabboids stayed burrowed again. I managed to get Nymphs out for the first time this match and although he Antimattered one near the end, I still had enough damage to evolve Grabboids and win by 2. If it wasn't for me getting a mid-game Fog this game would have been much closer.

Thanks to Kakerlake for some very tense but enjoyable games.

Won toss and started throwing out stuff. His Trident came early enough with a Squid, pritty much killing my deck. Funny enough my Discord always scrambled his quanta to his favor.

Lost toss. Was quite a tight game here, both of us got moderate offense and my Maxwell blocked his Grabby in burrowed form, his fog blocked a fair ammount of ~50%.
When his Spirit hit 9|9, I gave it an antimatter and RNG soon gave me the Shield, giving me the victory.

3rd:
same deck.

Lost toss. Early Trident smashed my Pends and a Squid made his day. Nothing I could do.

4th:
same deck.

Lost toss. Early Grabby and Sword vs. Maxwell and Golem. Both of us built up creatures and close to the end Regyptic was forced to unburrow the 2nd last turn hit two grabbys to get enough damage through for the win. But thanks to an AM in hand, I was able to snatch off just enough damage to get one more turn and win.

5th:
same deck. (srsly, I'm kind'a lazy)

Lost toss. (RNG, y u h8 me so?)
2 Pends, PA, 2 maxwells in hand... Would be awesome if I had plenty of Pends.
Still, I had enough damage going, until his Fog hit the field quite a bit too early. With this, I wasn't able to catch up anymore.

great games Regyptic, thanks for the matches!

You're just as selfish as I am. You're just not as good at it yet.
