Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about this match. With Pika as an opponent, I knew I'd have my hands full. It wasn't really until game 2 that I was sure that they hadn't brought the old Bonebolt of last War... which was very good for me...
Game 1: (Win) Pika had a terrible draw and I was able to get the Pharoahs out and spam some Scarabs for the win.
Game 2: (Loss) Pika had a much better starting hand and mine just seemed to drag along. Pika finally showed what he had as he brought out a Bone Dragon and then Fractaled his Recluses...
Game 3: (Win) Kind of a slow start for both of us but got the Discord out early and that helped to slow him down a bit further... We battled down the HP's and a late BW from Pika had me quite concerned as he started killing off my Scarabs. NM on card 19 was a very welcomed sight... allowed me to win with 13 hp left.
Game 4: (Win) 2 Novas and Discord in opening hand helped me gain a foothold on this one. Another slow start from Pika and it was a race to see how much I could get out before his hand developed. Disco kept him scrambled as I got out my Pharoah and started to spawn... After he got 3 Pends out, my Quicksand showed up and pretty much sealed it... He dumped a BW and Arsenic on me but with some critters on the board it was a bit too late...
Pika, it was an honor to face you in battle my friend. Sorry for the terrible RNG you had. Best of luck in your future battles and to your team.

Predicted Time's deck with almost complete accuracy during the Duel Phase, but what can I say? Turn 2/3 Discord against a low quanta opening hand hurts.

Well now you need only 15 quanta to play a Dim Shield safely instead of 16. Can be a real lifesaver you know? [/sarcasm]
