Game 1:
EP: Starting Hand: 5 pend, Steal, Vamp.
PW (1st): 6 pend
EP: draw lobo, play 5xpend
PW: Pend, Forest Scorpion (FS) atk for 1, 1
EP 1
: Draw pend, play lobo (no frac or dev in hand >__>) atk 5
PW: Plays Scorpion (upped). Ugh. atk 3, 2
EP 3
: Draw frac, play vamp, lobo the scorp atk 7 heal 2
PW: atk 3 1
EP 4
: draw pend, lobo FS, atk 7 heal 2
PW: plays EB, atk 3 heal 2
EP 4
: draw pill, play pill, steal EB. atk 7 heal 3
- At the time, I thought this would slow his heal as he's about to play fractal at any time, but I later realized this was a big mistake and lost me any chance of winning this game -
PW: Plays Dim Shield. atk 3
- At this point my death is inevitable, and scoring a steal to take it away will prove way too late. I can't use it's max potential and I won't be able to lobo the scorps in time. The best case is if he manages to either not be packing fractal or just draw it super late. -
EP 4
: draw pend, play pend, pass.
- Should've fractal'ed the vamp for sure, to maximize healing from EB. I was so disillusioned from the Dim Shield that I forgot there was still a point to fractalling. I had 19
at the time, definitely would have been the proper move. I was afraid for some reason of CC, though obviously a life/aether doesn't really have room for a CC except lightning. Don't know what I was thinking here. -
PW: Fractals the Scorp here, so it's over regardless of last turn's mistake. Plays 3 scorps, and gains 7
quanta. Phase shield still has 2 turns left. I do my best and lobo what I can after fractal'ing my vamps but I lose in 2-3 from this point.
Game 2:
EP: Starting Hand: 2 pend, 1 pillar, steal, dev, night, frac, lobo
PW (1st): 5 pend
EP: 2 pend, 1 pill
PW: pend
EP: draw night, play lobo atk 5 (I miscalculated, thought I'd have 12 by the time I get fractal out, allowing me to pre-empt the scorps.)
PW (95): FS, atk 1 1
EP(99)1
: draw steal. play dev atk 5, -1
PW(90): atk 1, 1
EP(97)2
: draw dev, play dev. atk 5 -1
-1
PW(85): atk 1, 1
EP(94)3
, draw pend. play pend atk 5 -2
PW(80): atk 1, 1
EP(90)4
: draw steal, atk 5 -1
-1
PW(75): play EB, atk 1, 1
, heal 1
EP(85)5
: draw dev, play dev, steal EB, nightfall, frac dev, 4 dev, atk 12, heal some, -3
, -4
PW(64): pend, PHASE Shield, atk 1, 1
EP(86)6
: draw pend, play pend, 2 dev, lobo FS, atk 0, heal some, -4
-5
- have 4
and seriously consider stealing the PS. Eventually decide against it, as I have a good lead and can afford to wait for more scorps to show up (or another EB) -
PW(64): Scorp (upped), frac scorp, 2 more scorps, atk 7, 3
EP(84)12
: draw vamp, lobo scorp, play vamp, atk 17, heal 12 -7
-2
PW(47): atk 7, 2
EP(71)14
: draw pend, tap space bar, since quanta lock is pretty much solid and I have a steal ready in case he dim shields. Game is practically over.
Game 3:
PW(1st): 3 pend (hurray!)
EP: Starting hand: 2 pend, lobo, 3 dev, vamp, frac. play 2 pend.
- This is probably where game 3 ends. -
PW(100): FS, atk 1, 1
EP(99)1
: draw pend, play pend, pass
PW(100): pend, atk 1, 1
EP(97)2
: draw steal, play 2 devs, -2
PW(100): atk 1, 1
EP(94)3
: draw pill, play pill, dev. -2
-1
PW(100): frac FS, atk 1, 1
EP(90)4
: draw pend, play pend, play vamp. atk 2, heal 2, -2
-1
PW(98): pend, fs, atk 2, 2
EP(86)6
: draw night, frac dev, 4 dev, atk 9, heal 3, -6
PW(89): pend, atk 2, 2
EP(81)8
: draw dev, play 4 dev, atk 13, heal 3, -all quanta
PW(76): atk 2, 2
EP(74)10
: draw LOBO (yes!), atk 14, heal 3, -all quanta
PW(58): same
EP(65)12
: lobo an FS, continue to suck all quanta until game is over. frac vamps at the end for fun, but unnecessary.
