uhhh... doesnt the death deck have WAY too much death quanta generated? I kinda wish to have seen the better deck win >.> stupid RNG

Looking at the match summaries, it seems as if RNG was fairly even in this matchup, so that's not valid reasoning. andre won because the decks were fairly evenly matched and someone has to win - hence it ended up 3-2. Give Death credit for using a unique deck effectively.

Please reread the description for game 3, CR. You need quanta in the early game too. Plus you need 50% death cards or the deck is illegal.

5 death cards. Total cost is 35  :death. Assuming you only draw 3 of the 5 because you have a 36 card deck and I feel thats actually favoring it a bit more than consistent, thats a max of 25 death max and 15 minimum. Averaging out 25 and 15=20. Since your deck is a stall, I'm guessing you get way more then 20 death per game. If you still decide to disagree with that I'll run tests on the deck as Im fairly certain it has too much death quanta in it. Seems to me it was more so to counter devourers or eqs/both.

EDIT: Ill go with you drawing 4 out of the 5 death cards cause its a stall. Thats a max of 30 death and a minimum of 25. Wont bother with the average for those two numbers because its impossible for your death cost to be 27.5 in a game and will assume the maximum. I still feel like you get more than 30 death quanta per game though, and would still run tests because of the three bone pillars.

A world war? Am I invited?
Thanks to skotadi for saying this in chat. Made me laugh pretty hard, and fits with me not getting drafted. :silly:

17.5 cards in a 35 card deck have to be of the user's element.
There are 18 death cards there, 13 of which are quanta producers.
10 pendulums to fuel the life, 3 pillars to increase reliability for plagues and the dragons.

Also note that they need around the same amount of death quanta as life quanta if they wanted to play everything. (32 :death to 36 :life). Seeing dragons make up nearly a third of all of the deck's death quanta useage, I'd say the bone pillars are justfied.

With there only being 3 more life cards, I feel they did the best they could. Which isn't too different from the absolute best they could possibly do.
