Nile walked through, contrasting greatly from the man he'd seen rush through. What could he possibly need to do in such a hurry? This isn't the Hunger Games sir. There's no cornucopia to run to. The map says so.
As Nile passed through the portal, all thoughts of the young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins escaped his mind. The world reminded him of Egypt. The desert sand, the rolling dunes as scenery, the scorching hot sun..
He looked behind him. There were pillars arranged in some sort of shrine. He lifted a hand to shield his eyes from the sun and to see the shrine better. But, as his hand passed into his line of sight, he noticed that he wasn't wearing the standard American clothing that he'd bought hastily upon arriving in Michigan.
Instead, it had all been replaced with the casual clothing that he usually wore in Egypt. ((OOC = Imagine casual clothing but in a traditional Egyptian style, if that makes sense))
((Simplification: Casual clothing with a traditional Egyptian color scheme, that's probably easier to visualize and is close enough))
Nile stared. Interesting way to start. Being Horus's vessel has its uses. He didn't like the American clothes anyways. Too gaudy.
He stretched his arm out and focused. He saw for a second a glimpse of himself walking out of the portal. It seems like he could already use a little bit of magic. But as soon as the image appeared, it faded away in a wisp.
Nile smiled. This would be fun. He looked up in the sky. Seemed as if Joey and Chip had already grown accustomed to their new wings. Nile sighed. It would take a while for him to be able to be proficient enough in magic to sprout some of his own.
