James watched as the rest filed out, till it was him and only a few others. Stretching as he stood up, he followed the rest as they continued to new horizons.

"Like I said, favors. Highest hand wins, with high card breaking ties." Before she could answer, Mr. CEO announced their departure and she got up without another word. Not wanting to let her go so easily, Sky rose and kept pace beside her. "Ah, that's a shame. How about we pick it up on the other side?"

[Lunaris]

Giving Sky a very rare smile, Izabelle nodded. "Sounds like a plan. Maybe if you can convince me, I'll even stick around afterwards."

Sky returned her rather nice smile. "I can be very persuasive. What's your name, by the way?"

"Probably, Joey. Time might work differently on the other side. It's part of what we want you to test. Maybe five minutes. Maybe a week. It might be all the same here. We'll let you know."

And to Nile, "They were the seventh-dimension coordinates we got from combining Ricochet Glue and Celerity Paste with some Science Dice. Our Recursion Spheroscopes showed that it might be testable, which is why you're here."

Then they were in another room, where Dave motioned to a set of twelve watches on a wall. "One each. Should stretch or shrink to fit...which may be necessary especially as you start testing. The door will unlock when the stable vortex will be in the next room, in..." He glanced to a timer over the door. "Ninety seconds. You'll want to get through quickly to minimize exposure. You might or might not stay conscious, and no telling when or how any changes to form happen as you go through that matrix, but shouldn't be anything lethal."

Claiborne looks at the wall which holds the set of twelve watches. He seems to be the first one to walk up to the wall of watches. He grabs the first one and puts it on. "Little bit of a tight fit, but it'll have to do." He says with a slight smile trying to be funny. After he walks back to the crowd waiting for the next step.

Chip meows, pretending as if he can talk.

James walks over to the wall, grabbing a watch, and turns it over, inspecting it.

"I am aware that you have told us to not attempt to take these off, once they are on. However, if it should become a case that it is necessary, what will happen?"

[Lunaris]

"Its Z. You're Sky, right?" She glanced in front of her, slowing her pace a bit when she realized that she was stepping rather close to Chip, who was in front of her.

Joey hefted Chip up onto his shoulder and walked to the furthest pair of watches.  He helped Chip step into his watch, then put on his own.  He then leaned against the wall next to the door to the portal inspecting his new accessory, liking the way it felt.

These are pretty nice.  You'll be able to more or less use this thing right?  Poke the buttons with your nose or a claw or something?

The soon-to-be Avian looked to the others and waited for the timer to tick down.

"They'll follow. Pack out into Drone Class 9066-C. Like a remote helicopter, except its signal is you, and so less liable to break you could divide it by zero - we tested that too - and much, much more sophisticated."

Jaye also obtained a watch, running a hand over the clean, circular surface; his display reads out in silver and gold, though everyone's has slightly different coloration. Dave, noting the color, spoke up again. "One of the other things we were able to get were some rough geological scans. We assume there are no transmission satellites, so they're just maps, but what we found is loaded in there."
