"Damn it!" The Usurper yelled as he took another swing with the enlarged Mythic Blade, now a tremendous side due the massive amount of 'stone' used as a magical conductor. "Akebono! Whatever the hell made this rift, it's not going to be sealable until we find what caused it!"
"We can't even move, right now!" Akebono replied, his voice barely catching above the roar of the rift. "As we are, all we can do is hold the Void stable, since it's part of us to begin with! If we leave, it's going to spiral out of control due to nothing acting as a beacon!" He almost stopped to curse his nature, but then remembered that if the False Gods were not composed of every single element in existence, the rift would've been much worse.
"Akebono, Usurper!" The two turned to quickly see a winged figure flash by. Surely enough, two Void Pegasi soon fell back into the rift, their wings disabled. Divine Glory landed in front of them, along with a cloaked figure who rode a strange Pegasus of his own. It was not clear like a Void one, but rather it possessed a snake-like tail and its eye's glowed an eerie blue to contrast with its graceful dark hair. It's mane appeared to be made out of solid obsidian, but when one looked at the right angle it was really a bunch of carefully groomed dark grey hair.
"Divine Glory. It is a relief to see you. Where are the others?" Akebono asked. "And you of Fate.... do you come to predict our end, or our victory?"
"I cannot predict either, Akebono." The cloaked figure replied. "It is my nature to change destiny, not to follow it. But I am here to aid in any way I can -
Fate sends her best regards."
"We appreciate the help, regardless." Akebono replied. "What do you plan to do, Divine Glory? There's not much you can do here - none of us have enough Void to seal a rift of this size."
"Contact everyone else, obviously. They're on the way to analyze the situation." Divine Glory replied. "Any word from the Oracle?"
"Stuck. His Mass Connection was severed from the lesser elementals ever since this rift opened. He can't risk Falling either, unless we want him to descend right above the rift."
"I guess we have to hope that all the False Gods combined will be able to seal the rift, then." Divine Glory started to fly up again, before she remembered one last thing. "Wait! What about Mobius?!"
"Still not back! Neptune says the waters will shift when he does!" Akebono roared. "Go! We can hold the rift for now!"
As if to contradict his statement, a smaller portal appeared near him, spawning the giant Void Otyugh dubbed 'Mouth of the Void' once more. It appeared to be blindly stumbling, but it was evident something was wrong - as it thrashed about, Magma Rats flew about everywhere, exploding in small bursts of pain. Closer inspection revealed that it appeared to have giant gashing wounds on it's sides - something it didn't have the last time the Usurper banished it.
"It's in pain." The Usurper remarked. "Something must've damaged it when it was back in the Void realm."
"We can't move yet, though." Akebono stepped forward. "Not until we stabilize the Mythic Blade as a neutralizing beacon."
"I suppose that leaves me, then." The cloaked figure stepped forward, letting his cloak fall off for the first time. "As much as I like to contradict Fate, it seems this is a good time to reveal my identity." Akebono and Usurper gave a start, but quickly returned to their calm demeanor.
"It figures." Akebono spoke, almost with a tinge of a laugh in his voice. "It'd never have been you under 'normal' circumstances, I suppose. That also explains the mount."
"Indeed." The figure returned, with a near laugh in his voice. "Fortunately, with me here, the potential event of stabilizing the Mouth of the Void becomes a certainty." Drawing his cloak over himself once more, he quickly extended his arm at the Otyugh, shouting a command to the strange Pegasus.
"Go forward,
Hypergusa!"
