Fine, I'll follow up that post and control another NPC. But it's sort of off to me :|

What does Bhever do after Aquarius returns with fired food, carbonated juice, a folded-up waterproof magazine, and sandwiches? Post that.

Here's how the duel works - each "turn" a six-sided die is rolled. The next move made is dependent on the die role - the smaller the number the worse the charecter's turn went.

"What is the meaning of this? Explain yourself. Your actions have endangered the true destiny of this realm!"

"The 'true destiny' you speak of is one of destruction, one where we all disappear. I seek an alternative to the loss of everyone's existence, despite my potential youth and ignorance, sir."

"You are a fool for trying to alter the fate assigned to us, even if it means destruction. I do not think your companion any better, for she appear to be involved your past to start this -"

"Scheme? Time Elemental, do you not recognize the one who gave you the blessing of Fate? Have you not predicted that I would meet you at this time, under the blazing sun of day eleven hours before the next night?" 'Fate' spoke, wondering if there was something she had not forseen herself in given the two elementals Fate's abilities.

"If you are indeed 'Fate' given form, I do not recognize you. Perhaps it is the one next to you that prevents any possible foresight - those with Fate become Fateless after all, and his rash tampering has likely affected the ability to predict his end and the events involving those around him."

"I see. While I would like to prove my identity, I will have to do so without altering either of your abilities, hmmm...."

Memory Crafter

"Are these memories not familiar to you? If you must, analyze them for any flaws. I am sure I have replicated them well."

"I see.... so, Fate, I find it odd you accompany your own Envoy to simply observe something I forsee as insignificant."

"I beg to differ. She accompanied me by her own choice."

"That is true. In my opinion, we should keep an eye on all variables even if they are already predicted. Having a 'wild card' of our own could signify changes. -----, do you have the Seal, as promised?"

"Indeed I do. It is fortunate that my other half was not within the vicinity of other Adventurers when he gave me his seal. He is currently not in need of it, so I will return it to him when we are done with this observation."

"So you wish to speed up the alliance forging here, as well? Something I had not predicted, indeed."

"Perhaps, but to me it is important we cover all objectives, to be safe."

"My lords!" The King and Queen looked up as they left the throne room to find an Adventurer (one of many comissioned at this point) kneeling in front of them. "I hope that you are done with your arrangements with the Life Kingdom?"

"Indeed!" Helios replied. "Our alliance has been succesful, and Ferox, Divine Glory, and Lionheart have been confirmed to give their support. What do you need of up, brave Adventurer?"

"I have a pigeon that was wounded midway on it's Journey to the Light Kingdom. It's information was marked solely for the King and Queen's eyes, so I hope you will take the time to the read it."

"Very well." Taking the letter and moving into a secluded room, Amaterasu and Helios opened the letter.

Dear Amaterasu and Helios,

I have located Mobius, but it will take time to reach him unless a 'desperate' measure is taken. We are not fully sure of their motives, but they appear to be performing a ritual to determine more about the Void. Usage of the Queen's seal will likely be necessary, once I reach him.

Another entity not affiliated with the group Mobius was traveling with was said to be heading towards a certain spot in the Air Kingdom as well. I will investigate as needed.

"Hum." The King grumbled. "So they've finally found Mobius after he left for so long?"

"That is good." The Queen sighed in relief. "Although, I am afraid that other Adventurers that arrive might create.... a conflict."

Staring back at the group, the 'Fate' elemental sighed. If it meant risking his identity, so be it.

Pulling out a scroll of parchment, he unrolled it before the group, making sure Mobius saw what had been imprinted at the bottom.

"We come here with two purposes - one, to request the Water King Mobius join an alliance to prepare for the impending crisis, and two - to observe on behalf of the rest of the alliance what you plan to do to combat the Void. You know the nature of the seal, Mobius. If I was not trustworthy, it would dissolve on contact.

Mobius paused. "You speak as if you hold the truth, but I must be sure this is legitimate and not a clever Darkness forgery."

Pact of Royals

"It is valid." The Ice Monarch observed. "We will talk about this, then. But quickly, before the portal opens."

Without a moment wasted, Kairos dashed towards the Light elemental.

Glaring Light

Kuraz's first shot of Glaring Light missed Kairos as the Time Elemental dodged the predictable attack.

"Easy enough." Kairos remarked, leaping at Kuraz with his Dagger. Kuraz simply parried and lept away, looking for a more viable way of attack.

Kairos didn't wait for the dust to settle before setting off again.  Just as Kuraz had deflected his blades and set some distance between them, Kairos had strafed about him in a clockwise fashion.

It didn't matter if he insisted on putting some space between them, it just meant he had some space.  Flipping his own dagger in the air, Kairos caught it by its blade and threw it at his retreating opponent.

"Now, let's see if this works out.."

Just as soon as he let the knife fly, he grasped the Gravity Pull scroll that Kuraz had given him earlier...

Dodging quickly to one side, Kuraz let the thrown Dagger embed itself into a nearby wall then stepped to it to grab it out of said wall.

Seeing the Gravity Pull scroll Kairos had taken out, he decided to do the Time Elemental's job for him.

Gravity Pull

Moving quickly as Kairos began to pull towards him, Kuraz fired two Smites, one homing in on Kairos from the left and the other homing in from the right.

[If there's anything I learned from the many TextRPGs I've played, it's that you can use ANYTHING.

I'm assuming that since Kairos is going to you, you've casted Gravity Pull on yourself.]

Kairos couldn't help but smirk.  He wasn't planning to do it like this.  Instead of casting Gravity Pull on himself as he had previously planned, he dug his boots into the ground as he was being pulled towards his opponent, kicking up some gravel, giving him a little dust cover to work with.

Grabbing a small stone, Kairos read from the scroll as he cocked his arm back and launched the rock into the sky.

Gravity Pull

It took a second before the two dense objects, Kairos and the rock, were above the field.  Not that it slowed Kuraz's spells at all.  They went on to collide with each other just below, where Kairos once stood.

And with just enough force to dislodge the knife in the wall and have it gravitate towards Kuraz at approximately 9.8 meters per second per second...

Smite

Although he missed, he got his distraction as Kairos shifted a bit instead of casting his scroll.

Kuraz quickly grabbed the dagger in the wall, and hurled it slightly to the right of the floating rock, despite Kuraz being on the left.

Another one?

The blinding light of Smite was obvious as it homed in on Kairos' airborne figure.  There was no way out of this way.

Unless I can reach it...

Just as he attempted to turn his body around, the dagger flew by, propelled by the pull of the small rock that had brought him upwards as well.  It was shallow and only stung, but there was something about having a blade flash before your eyes that was enticing...  And the spark of realization was worth it.

That's it!

Wrenching his body around, Kairos drew his second dagger, bringing it up to face just in time to deflect the other blade as it orbited the stone, sending it towards the core of its orbit.  As the rock came in contact with the metal blade, it shattered, breaking the spell.  Kairos was no longer being pulled up...

Instead he was falling towards Kuraz, Smite in tow...

Momentum

Time for another last ditch attempt to win.  It never got as fun as this in the desert.

[It seems my plot is going nowhere. If I could somehow join the action, that would be appreciated. Or I can just quietly drop out and use my story line somewhere else.]

'Ugh, looks like it'll have to end here. I never got to see that Reverse Time that Lyra interrupted, either.' Kuraz sighed to himself, then cast one final spell as Kairos sped towards him.

Blinding Light

As the flash emitted, he ran as quickly as possible to his left. Kairos, being unable to turn quickly enough, hit the ground.... only for the Smite to explode behind him and knock him on the ground by sheer force.

Kuraz walked over to his opponent, offering his hand. "Good match."

As Leeroy sat at the entrance, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible, he was approached by a female 'Air' and male 'Life' elemental.

"Hello, fellow Light Elemental!" The 'Air' elemental spoke. "Would you happen to know the way to the Graviton Training Arena?

"Indeed I do." He replied. "But there's no need to disguise yourself if you're just heading there for some training!"

"Wait, what?" The 'Air' Elemental cried, "How'd you know we were Darkness and Ent-"

The Life elemental tried to shush her, but whatever illusion the disguise was supposed to have on Jenkins, it was gone.

"By all due respective, good lady and sir." He smiled at the woman, trying to get her attention. "If you wish to train, it is only right that you master your true abilities! I used to have trouble with my own Light skills, before I learned to hone my great fighting style!"

"Okay..." The Darkness Elemental paused, as if finding his speech somewhat... overemphasized. Seeing as he wasn't getting anywhere, Leeroy decided to end the conversation.

"For now, I must go to meet my fellow adventurers! If you don't mind, could I have your names?"

Grabbing Kuraz's outstretched arm, Kairos wrenched him to the ground whilst pulling himself up into a sitting position.

But not as fluidly as he'd have liked.  His impact had left him sore and, unable to maintain an upright position, fell on his opponent.

"As you wish." Slightly angered by the rejection of match point, Kuraz quickly proceeded to knee Kairos in the stomach as the Time elemental tried to fall on him. As Kairos rolled over in pain, Kuraz quickly pulled himself to a low sitting position and performed a sweeping kick to get Kairos away from him. He stood up once more, instinctively reaching for a scroll.
