It was another early morning Leafa and Daul were walking impatient in front of the inn. The arrival of many new guests alerted Leafa and Daul was doint his best to comfort her, a hard task indeed. All the new guests at the inn intrigued Leafa, she had the feelling that she was there for a reason. Her eye caught a glimpse of Tseem charging a CHESS piece. Leafa got the urge to go in assistance, then she saw Daul already defending Tseem from a golden dressed paladin. Leafa grabed for her Pulverizer and charged.

UTA quickly notices 3 (or 5?) of his companions charging in for battle. I hope they don't think they are going to do all the fighting themselves!, he thinks as he looks for the nearest foe. An abomination covered in armor and carrying 2 blunt weapons stumbled out of a nearby crypt. "Good enough for me," he mumbled before charging forward.

Tseem sprinted towards Markus and ran the vibrantly colored gunman through with his first strike, then decapitated the Chess Piece with a flourish.

Haha! This is easy! Maybe defeating the chess pieces won't be so hard after all!

Markus was obviously just a lowly pawn who paid more attention to his appearance than to developing actual combat skill. Just a little appetizer before the real battles.

Game 1: Wings don't help much vs FFQ, but FFQ doesn't pose much of a threat with such unreliable sources of  :life, even more so with pulvy smashing away at an already frail quanta setup.

Leafa and Daul got lured into a graveyard by Paladin Arca, the aery atmosphere distacted Leafa and stood frozen for a second among the graves, she could even hear baby cries from distance. Leafa disheartened and demoralized followed Daul in a duel they already lost. Paladin Acra had total control over the duel and took his time in beating them.

Did not save the decks on time (match was interupted by baby :o) but used something along these lines. Youngsot can correct/add info if he remembers better

Leafa regained consiousness with Daul dragging his huge tongue along her face and Tseem looking disgusted. She was dazed and confused without any serious injuries. Tseem helped Daul carry Leafa on his back back to the inn.
The MAR team gathered fast around her to learn the details, but the words that came out of her were about the atmosphere in the graveyard and nothing that could help them contemplate a strategy to beat the mighty Paladin Acra. Daul seemed more interested in the well being of her friend than anything else

"Fixed. Also, y u spam SoR." I scribbled some notes in my journal, and chucked a Vial of Holy Water at the thing. It punched me in the face.

As I recovered from my staggering, it appeared to disappear back into the ground. Looking over at Tseem and Leafa, I noticed that Tseem had beaten Markus and taken his pistols, while Leafa was struggling to recover with Daul licking her face. UTAlan still appeared locked in combat.

UTAlan lay on the ground a few moments longer than necessary, his pride hurting more than his physical wounds. After gathering himself, he made a few notes to share with his team in case they encountered this foe again.

"Woah..." I stared the Golem, wearing Iman00b's form. It was fake - the black granite made that pretty obvious - but the detail given to it was amazing. They even recreated the wacky frog getup!

I guess being the leader basically puts a giant "KILL ME" sign on your head, though, because I had been surrounded by the other three pawns, including 1 very familiar Paladin.

"They are the ones who murdered Markus! Take them out one-by-one, they're too much a threat together." Under a barrage of elemental bolts, I was forced to run into the forest.

...

"Psst, Z." I jumped, only to realize it was Lyra. "Think we can find everyone else?"

"Not really. I still have that crazy Paladin tracking me."

"Well, in that case, we should ATTACKK!"

"Hey, don't be a Lee-"

Oh well. Acra had heard us and started firing magic bolts at us again. What choice did I have?

Gemini will fight Paladin Acra.

Just a thought but would it be worthwhile to add a ban on QTs? I enjoy playing pillar based rainbows, but they seem to kind of screw up the challenge of this event for those of us that don't have elemental restrictions.
