Synopsis I'd hoped I'd be a little less bored after all this... You stroke your cat gently. He looks up, as if to agree, and purrs.
You have just finished an apprenticeship with a local trader by traveling with him around the Unclaimed Regions, and used the electrum you got to build a small but quite fancy house on the edge of Ekiv'xow, a small village only miles from the border with the strip of moist land called the Renegade, part of the edge of the area controlled by the Land of Water. Much of your village is dedicated to keeping their officials moderately pleased with goods and services, which is admittedly not hard.
Knowing this does not help your boredom. In fact, it even increases it. You know you shouldn't feel this way, as you have gotten a chance at life few have gotten in these parts, but you feel there's nothing left, now that the restraints of living under a mentor for 5 years has gone. You don't yet feel ready to carry on the trade by yourself, though it's only a matter of time before you'll have to.
You decide to stroll in the town for a while. You rummage in a trunk next to your couch, and grab some electrum and a few basic items. Motioning for your cat to follow, which he does, you head out of your front door. Immediately next door is the house of Waterford, a friendly but often distracted repairman who helped place and secure the roof of your house. You walk to his house and knock on the door, but you receive no reply, and the door is locked. You figure he must be in the center of the village, and head down the curvy road that leads out of your housing area and into the center.
Shortly you arrive at the Second Fountain, one of 3 immense structures around the village built by the Elements of Water as a gift of peace and beauty. This one is a base of solid rock, layered with sand and silt from the purest rivers, with large chunks of fool's gold embedded in the rock. Water flows from the very top, descends to a pool at the bottom, and is slowly siphoned back up to the top.
Just beyond this is the Market District, which has a large variety of goods, from food and drink, to parchments with content of all sorts, and to small trinkets that the shady say hold dark magic. You stop past the fountain, sit on the ground with your cat climbing on your lap, and ponder what you might want to do today.
| Notes We have our character. I RNG'ed most things, and I got mesa's name suggestion but female as the gender, so I changed the last letter to make it seem more feminine. I hope this is okay with you, but if not I'll change it back.
Another really care-free round. This is probably as simple as it's going to get for a while, but you have a lot of options here.
I renamed Charisma to Constitution (abbreviated as CON). Right now this is important, as it affects your inventory space. I also added a area for that, with a {desc} tag explaining the formula. I put them in a lot of other places, to, so be sure to check them out if you want details on something.
Apologies for the lack of character image, it will be up either tomorrow or later tonight. It's a fair-skinned female with light brown hair and red eyes. I've spent a couple hours working tonight and I decided to write and improve the template rather that create her. Right now all I have is pretty hair, a long shirt and red eyes, which I expect requests for .-.
Options Freestyle Phase:
Discuss a place you would like to see Kirona visit. It can be anything you could find in real life, or in a typical RPG. If needed I'll adapt it to fit the village, so don't worry about thematics as long as you can define what you want.Make your choice final by saying something like this: Vote: Visit Location
I really encourage discussion here and sharing your point of view with other people, so we can have a majority instead of me having to randomize again. However, I realize that without limits it's hard to force a majority, so if this doesn't work I'll go revert to giving set options, but allowing an 'Other' option.
The only thing I will suggest is using that roll of parchment for something :]
