Agility would affect how often attacks miss you, in other words dodging. I also want it to affect amount of actions that can be done in a time period of battle.

As for death being critical strikes, that's a really good idea. I think we can make Stamina critical strikes and health increases, and move inventory space to Charisma with quest rewards.

Loyalty seems like it should be your relationship with allies and how many you can control. Karma can be sort of a counterbalance to luck and how your reputation is viewed.

Also, I'm going to swap Time and Aether, as quanta production seems to fit time better, and change Adaptability to Versatility, as it fits a little bit more.

EDIT: Actually, Empathy should be both pets and allies, and Light should be how you treat others, as an opposite to Karma. As a working title, we'll called this Humility.

Some brief thoughts:

Bit of clarification on Death : Something needs to limit what Nele can do outside of battle. Since the other suggested most fit had better uses (time/gravy/life, and they still do for this RP's purposes), 12realms originally placed Death in Stamina (your energy decays over time).

Critical (effective/physically deft) strikes are more fitting of Air. Lethal (OHKO or killing) strikes are more fitting for death. However I'm guessing the difference is negligible unless there is some major shift in the stat system, so I'll go with Crits = Death for now.

Defense apparently now refers to 'shield power'. Does this modifier still apply without a shield or armor? (if it doesn't, I suspect Earth might be overly situational.)

Is Wisdom intended to be solely limited to casting spells that you learn, or do scrolls also apply? (This can be important if Nele has to chose between speccing out for Mage/Warrior, or aims for a 'Mage Knight'-esque class.)

Can Charisma also affect sell/buy prices?

Yeah, death will probably have effects on both health and energy changes, if we even have energy. I want death to affect the health decay from last time, and maybe quanta decay. Early on this would lead to rapid quanta shifting and minimal gain overall.

On the spot, this led me to another thought: Biomes. In a forest you gain a boost to :life quanta, in a desert you gain a boost to :time quanta, etc. This depends on the plot though.

As for critical strikes, they're going to be when you're neath death, so fitting the death theme.

Defense: Yeah, this is going to be general defense and not just shields. in other words, damage reduced.

Wisdom: I think we're going to stick with just scrolls representing the spell cards in game, although making wisdom affect artifacts as well is probably a good idea.

Charisma: Yes. We will be using electrum as currency in this one instead of quanta, expect if there's certain places where paying with quanta would make sense.


EDIT: August 7th, ~0700 GMT

I made a few changes to the stats:

 :darkness Karma will affect quest requirements, both to take the quest and complete the quest.
Added quanta changes to :death Stamina, moved critical strikes to :air Agility (after some thought), removed extra actions from :air Agility.
 :aether Wisdom will also affect artifact effects.
 :earth Defense and :fire Strength have broader effects.
 :entropy Chance renamed to Fortune.
Replaced :light Humility with Leadership, moved relationship with allies from :life Empathy.

Consider these final. OP has been updated to reflect this. Formulas, beginning stats, and caps can be carved out later.

To the next issue: The character template.

This needs to include a few things: in a form that is both neat and compact. What we had by the end of the first EA worked well, but maybe it can become even better:

*Avatar - What our character looks like. Solely for aesthetic purposes. Contrary to what I said before, I'm going to play around with the Tektek avatar creator for Gaia. Depending on how epic it's customization is, it could be very nice.
*Statistics - This becomes a problem with 12 elemental stats, but condensing it into a nice table would make it work. This also needs to include health, quanta and actions.
*Items - This got really crowded when we got more items. I intend to abuse desc tags as much as possible tio save space, but there's only so much we can do with that.
* Synopsis: Probably fine as is. Could make shorter or even longer if people really enjoy them.
* Notes: Little to no change needed here.

In addition, we need to redefine the limits to the amount of items we can have equipped and what we can actually carry. Basically something like FATE:

* Two slots for weapons and shields.
* Four slots for towers and pends.
* Four slots for artifacts.

Everything else stays in the inventory and can be switched out whenever outside of battle, or as an action in battle.

Then there has to be a cap to other items. Probably 20 spread between Scrolls, Food and Drink (which could probably be renamed), and Miscellaneous.
