Airheart: The Beginning

As I feel movement I slowly came out of my sleep.

As my eyes refocus, I see myself in the arms of a man. Still a bit groggy, I murmur "Mmm... Who are you?..."

"My name is Ankh. I'm one of the officers on this ship."

Ship...? All of a sudden, I snapped out of my semi-conscious state. That's right! I boarded the princesses ship! I jumped out of his arms.

"Hey... Ankh? You're one of the officers right? Take me with you! I've heard so many stories about Araceli, about the princess, and about the battle against Tarrania. I want to be a part of it too! I know I'm just a child but I'm sure I'll be useful!"

I looked up at him, eagerly waiting his response. He looked at me hard for a moment, and said in a serious tone:

"First of all, what's your name? I need to know that before deciding anything."

At first a little bit intimidated, but if there's any chance of me taking part in this adventure...

"I'm Evaria. Nice to meet you!"

I saw his serious expression slowly give way to a smile, and then laughter, like a huge sigh of relief, as if me just telling him my name meant more to him than anything else in the world at that moment, and he put a hand on my shoulder.

"Evaria, I'll take you with me. The other members of the crew might think down on letting a little girl like you do your part, but I promise to convince them one way or another. For now we are waiting for the princess to gather the troops together. After the announcement is made, we can go meet her."

My eyes lit up instantly! I felt so happy. I can be part of all this too! And I get to meet the princess, of all people!

"Thank you Ankh!"
I gave him a hug, and walked with him, telling him everything, how I can't recall my memory, how I found myself in the rebel base, how I heard so many stories, how I always wanted to fly with everyone else, and how I found myself on the ship.

(Wi’s POV)
   Wi chuckled, seeing the exuberant child striding down the ship’s corridor. “Wassup little dude!” Wi asked the child. In his opinion, everyone on the ship was too serious, and a little exuberance wouldn’t be unwelcome. The child smiled at Wi, although his expression was slightly guarded. “I’m Evaria. Who’re you?”
Wi chuckled, saying, “You can call me Wi. Why are you here?”
The child- Evaria, blinked, saying “I want to help the princess.”
“But… wouldn’t that be dangerous? Why don’t you help her… some other way?” Wi responded quizzically.
“No.” Evaria responded mulishly. “This is how I want to help, and you aren’t going to stop me.”
Wi shrugged. ‘Fine, your choice, but you may not want to interrupt the princess. She’s talking to one of her advisers, and if you did, it would interrupt my eavesdropping,” Wi said shamelessly.

Valo was out of breath far before he reached town, but he had been trained to run on no food, no air, and no strength, such things were of little matter to him, so he just pushed his body past a point that was not meant to be crossed and continued on, it was much latter when he got to town.
  He instantly reached for a civilian, "do you know where I can find air ships that recently arrived?"
  The man he grabbed looked at Valo's weather worn face, features, bandages and finally settled his eyes on the glaive.
  "To the north is the docking bay." He pointed. Valo was already gone.

"Another fool?" Ankh sighed.

"Well, he ran here like a madman demanding to see the 'Princess', Ankh. Are you sure he's not an insurgent?" Gia cocked her head to one side as if looking at the scene behind Ankh, rather than straight at him.

"An insurgent wouldn't be so straightfoward to a child like her, if you ask me." He smirked, listening to Evaria prattle with the new stranger that wasn't Wi.

"You 'checked', didn't you." She shot a glare at him.

"Relax. Spirit Hawk won't probe further than the surface of the subconscious."

"Upbeat today, aren't you?"

"..."

"Anyway, the kid seems to like you. Her name's Evaria, right?"

"Yes."

"Hey, Ankh!" Evaria exclaimed as she ran up to him, the stocky man striding behind her. "I heard the princess is going to appear soon from Mr. Olen! Can we go to the main dock now?"

"Olen that softhead... Ankh grumbled to himself." Well, he did always have a heart for kids.... His thoughts were cut off by the sharp female voice that he knew well.

"If Olen said so, it's probably true. Let's go, Mr...." Gia paused.

"Velo."

"Yes, Mr. Velo. Don't try any funny buisness though."

He bowed his head in response. "My duty has always been to protect the princess. I promise I won't sabotage anything."

No. I was referring to Velo, who probably makes a lot more sense as "stocky" being a bodyguard.

I carry on with a spring in my step as I skip towards the main dock where the princess was about to give a speech, the others falling behind me.

Just when I'm about to enter, Ankh stops me for a moment.

"It's better if we go in together. People could get the wrong idea if a child like you enters by herself."

Well, it was true, I suppose.

"Mmkay."

And so we entered the great room as a group. The first thing I noticed was the large amount of other people, presumably all part of the rebel forces, in the dock.
All sorts were gathered in one place, with one purpose. My mind raced with excitement at the thought.

And then... there was the princess herself. She looked so strong, so determined compared to everyone else. I looked on in admiration. This was a real leader here. More people trickled in, and when it seemed that everyone was here,
the princess rose her hand demanding silence. Immediately the room went quiet. And with that, she began to speak...

After quickly running to the docking station Valo recognized the Princess's ship right away. Nostalgia and anxiety crept through him, and for the first time since that day so long ago in the Tarranian torture chamber, he lost his cool.
  He climbed through an opened window into a room full of people. "Please, I need to see the princess!"
  A young girl who was in the room looked up at him, smiling, "I want to see her, too, that's what I'm waiting for."
  The innocent face of the girl calmed Valo down considerably, children had that effect on him, "may I ask your name, sweet one?"
  "Evaria!" Announced the girl proudly.
  "What a beautiful name! Mine is Valo. Evaria, do you know when we will get to meet the princess?"
  She ran off, towards a man with blonde hair, "Hey, Ankh!" Evaria exclaimed as she ran up to him, Valo following behind. "I heard the princess is going to appear soon from Mr. Olen! Can we go to the main dock now?"
  The man named Ankh grumbled something under his breath.
  A woman spoke up. "If Olen said so, it's probably true. Let's go, Mr...." she trailed off.
  "Valo."
  "Yes, Mr. Valo. Don't try any funny business though."
   Valo bowed his head in response. "My duty has always been to protect the princess. I promise I won't sabotage anything."

Well, it was fun trying to do this with you all, but it is apparent to me I cannot RP here. it was much too disorganized and all over the place with very little rhyme or reason. I was lenient about the character designs, but it seems everyone decided to do whatever they pleased with no relation to the story. Even going so far as to preplan events that haven't happened and automatically controlling other characters.

Ava hadn't reached the country yet. At no point was she intending on giving a speech, at least not from the opening post. Not to mention many key details were left out in a "this happened, and then this happened" with no explanation as to how. So feel free to continue on with this all you want, even take my characters, but i am dropping out of this. Have fun.
