Look, the bible also says you should stone midgets and kill anyone who remarries.  Don't take it literally.

God doesn't condemn gays because according to the bible, god accepts everyone.  If you have an acceptance problem, don't use religion to cover up your prejudice.
actually, everyone in my school knew i was about the least prejudiced person there.I have a lesbian friend, and she wasnt allowed to bring her date from out of the school, even though other people were allowed to bring thier heterosexual partner to the dance from out of school. I tried to help her be able to bring her. I sang next to a gay boy in the choir, and although he was occasionally very rude, I talked to him during class quite often.

So Im not trying to cover up anything. Theres no prejudice here, and I suggest you dont try to make people look bad just for the sake of it anymore. It epically failed here. I wouldnt suggest talking about things you dont know anymore.

...sorry?

Where in that post did it say "BluePriest is prejudice"?  But seeing as you're claiming you're okay with gay people...

To humor all people that say that people are born that way, Autistic people are born violent, that doesnt mean that they have a right to be. Life is about doing something with it, not just making excuses for everything saying its out of your control.

So why should being born that way be an excuse, if we still say autistic people arent allowed to be violent? Also, an in-law who is mentally slow, got sent to jail on child molestation charges, because he didnt understand something he just said, not did, but only said to a boy was wrong.

So to answer your question, why should that be an excuse?
Some people may be born violent, but being violent is a bad thing, they have no right to be violent.  Gay people are born gay, but there's nothing wrong with that, and they have every right to be gay.

I'm not attacking you.  I'm only saying God doesn't want people who are born gay to stop being gay, and I'm saying there's nothing wrong with being gay.  God accepts everyone.  So who cares?!  Live and let live!

That implies, since the post seems in response to me, that you are saying that Im prejudice, and using God as an excuse to be.   I really dont see any other way to interpret that. When it comes to morality of it, Ive said all I care to say as this topic really doesnt seem to be made for an actual discussion, but instead another annoying attempt to harrass christians. So on to the topics where people are actually having intelligent discussion (btw, that wasnt directed at you glitch, it was mainly towards the OP)

Watch what you say. The original post of this topic asked what we call a dishonest question. That is to say, he is not truly interested in an answer to the question, but instead is eager to trip up the target of the question - in this case, Christians. These same kinds of questions were asked of Jesus by Satan when Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days, and were asked of Jesus by the Pharisees to try to trap him in his own words. Of course, being the perfect God that He is, Jesus resisted the temptation to give in to these dishonest questions. I urge everyone to reevaluate the origin of this thread before continuing discussion.

Blue Priest, while I normally disagree with what you say, I can at least respect it.  However, I find this totally unacceptable.  For one, you clearly don't understand autism, as your blanket statement is as ridiculous as it is wrong.  I would hope a christian could muster some more compassion for one of god's fellow creations.  Second, at least in the US, if your in-law truly has a condition, he could have been treated differently under the law, because we recognize that it is NOT an excuse and he should NOT be treated as the same as someone who knowingly made the same decision.

How about I laugh at your inability to cope with the world because you hide behind an invisible sky wizard as your excuse?  How much responsibility do you take for your own life when you say everything is out of your control and part of "god's plan"?  Why is it noble for you to give up control to a god you can't prove, and yet for people with a medically valid condition that everyone can see and agree on it's an excuse?  Honestly, the hypocrisy here is overbearing.
