Honestly: We cannot know.

But even I, as an non-Christian, think it is silly to compare Jesus to Osiris.

I'm a bit disappointed, I do not see how rising from the dead, a common supernatural trait, could prove or disprove the face that Jesus was a demigod (son of God).

i just realized that you have posted quite a few seemingly anti christian topics. i find it interesting that you compare it to the other religions as an argument.

now, im going to break this down, so everyone can understand it, considering the fact that i just typed a speech, and decided to delete it when i reread it (it confused the hell out of me).

alright
-religion 1 is a rival with religion 2.
-religion 1 could be right while religion 2 could be wrong, or vise verse.
-or they could both be wrong.
-more interesting yet is that they could both be right.
-religion 1 could be the same as religion 2, just with different names for the events and characters in their stories.
-religion 1 could be shooting down EVERYTHING religion 2 says, even though they could be the same thing.
-or religion 3 could be right while religions 1 and 2 are wrong.
-or religion 3 and 1 could both be right.
-or religion 3 and 2 could both be right.
-or all religions could be wrong.
-or all religions could be right and there is some kind of religious deity fortress of sanctity in the sky somewhere with religious deities galore living there

do you see the pattern i am suggesting here?
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "its better than yours" damn right, its better than yours! i can teach you but i'd have to charge!

Right, but if god made man with free will, he wasn't all knowing, and made mistakes.  I'd like to think my existence wasn't a mistake.  But he WAS all knowing, then he can't have given us free will, meaning life is predetermined and everything that happened happened because he wanted it to.

Neither of those are good options.
I know, Gods so horrible isnt he? Why couldnt he just be this galactic serial rapist that forced us to love him? That would solve all of this

Except for the fact that He choose someone that he knew would see it as a blessing instead of a curse like you are trying to portray it as.

And having consequenses for not doing something isnt forcing. I do not consider someone a true christian if that is why they are a christian. Its about so much more than escaping hell. Its about knowing your heavenly father and loving him because of all he has done for us.

No need to wonder any longer, Artois, Mary consented to the pregnancy at the Annunciation.

Luke 1:38:
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

The question of Jesus being the Messiah brings about the Lord, Liar Lunatic argument...
Jesus claims to be Lord:  These claims are either true or false...
If Jesus claims of being Lord are true, then he is Lord; If the claims were false, He is a liar, and if He did not know His claims are false, then He is a lunatic.

First, you can rule out the possibility of Him being a liar.  Jesus was a man that lived a very virtuous life.  He was selfless, loving, and compassionate because He wanted to bring about the Truth.  Liars lie for personal gain, but Jesus gave up everything for His followers (Even His own life!).  Second, there is no real motive for him to lie.  His teaching brought Him hatred, rejection, misunderstanding and death.  There is real no purpose for Him being a liar.

Next, Jesus can not be a lunatic because because He possess the opposite qualities of a lunatic.  Jesus had love wisdom, creativity, etc., while lunatics lack these qualities...  A lunatic does not make you feel challenged, he only makes you embarrassed and eventually bored.  Jesus made everyone feel challenged and never bored.  Secondly alunatic would not fool people for very long by claiming to be God.  In Jesus' case, He was able to persuade Jews (those who would least likely worship man as a God) and make them believe His divinity.  Jesus was therefore not a lunatic.

Jesus was not a liar because of his moral teachings.  Jesus was not a lunatic because he had wisdom, love, and creativity.  Therefore, there is only one option left, Jesus must be the Lord.

If you have an thoughts or comments on the argumant, feel free to post and discuss...

Did Jesus claim to be the Messiah, or where those words put in his mouth after the event by his followers?

Out of curiousity, does Jesus claim to be the messiah in jewish texts from the time, or in the Koran?

Im not familiar with the koran, but I can say that Jesus fulfilled the Judaic prophecies of the time. Common sense tells me jewish texts, however, I have a feeling you have some sort of answer to the contrary which im sure you will back up by a web address that way I wont have to ask how you got your info.
