i have seen a scientology add on this website. why? i don't think anyone here is a scientologist (as far as i know) and hasn't scientology been known to abuse of their followers? why should this site have scientologist adds?
it's like having a "be muslim/jewish/christian/chatholic or perish in the flames of hell" add. what is this? in personal opinion (as a non believing, non-practicing, baptised catholic) i do not approve of religious adds or even their creation. anyone with me on this that religion is a personnal and intimate choice?

Advertisement is how you get interested in anything. The Scientology ad might not have inspired you to join them, but it did inspire you to create this thread with them in it. You don't know a new game is coming out unless you already knew of it or see an advertisement somewhere for it.

You don't know a religion exists unless you see it somewhere, either an ad, or brought up by someone, or some kind of version of advertisement, purpose or accidental.

i cannot disprove of this. but why the need for it here. on this forum in particular? we are GAMERS, not religious aficionnados

Because as far as I know, the advertisments are generated from a large group that apply to all SMF forums. It is a technical matter not a religious one.
