this is a great argument in itself showing religion to be false....imagine..children  rather than have fear installed into them constantly in their devloping years...imagine instead if they were not exposed to religion until they reached the age of reasoning say 17/18...and they would look at these silly beliefs and religion would be wonderfully replaced by commmon sense

You do know that a LOT of people get converted in their teenage years and beyond, right?

I think it is okay to raise them into a religion, but I think one should clearify other options etc. early on, maybe tell them about various beliefs or what other "options" they might have, I would never MAKE them go to church unless its something related to family ie: baptising, weddings, funerals (you get the idea)

I myself am not religious, but I wouldnt call myself religious. If I would believe, I'd be all about the norsegods (dont take my unseriously because of this) But I would not raise them to believe nor disbelieve anything, If they had questions I would try to answer them as good as I can, but its hard to be impartial, there are stuff in the bible I think is nonsense and stuff I think is brilliant etc. im sure we all do. (I've not read the entire thingy)

Hey, Norse mythology names were used a lot in Xenogears.  That stuff's pretty cool in my book.
