Disprove what exactly? That the Bible is a book? That it is true? That it was written by God?

He's saying show him that the bible is a fictional account. Without a shadow of a doubt, I think.

Oh like: Make the Bible go in the Fantasy section of the bookstore? :)
Hard to do really. To prove something that happened/did not happen several thousands years ago is difficult. Scientologists have not been able to disprove less than a century old fantasy books so....

Perhaps we could look at the historical facts in the Bible and see if they are true. The hard problem is: Is this book what it says it is? Is this God speaking?

It's really hard to prove if the bible is true. But not just because it's been so long ago, also because many events in the Bible require God's existence for them to be true. Can we prove that Moses lead the people of Israel out of Egypt? Difficult, but perhaps we can. Can we prove that it was God who told Moses what to do and how to do it? Guess not.

So even if we could prove that there has been a flood, that king David killed Goliath with a stone and Jesus died on a cross, would it prove that the Bible is true? And on the other hand, if we found out that (for example) there was no flood and that Goliath was actually killed by a 23 year old rhino who called himself "Steve", would that mean the Bible is nothing but a big book of fairytales?

its not completely fictional it is however misguided and utterly stupid in places...but the belief that a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree is retarded....i can disprove parts very easily..like Jesus of Nazareth ...it has been discovered that town of Nazareth wasnt established until at earliest 80 AD..jesus wasnt of NAzareth...JEsus was a liar....4 separate times he says pray for what you want and youll get it...thats what is says its not coded its thata blatant...well he lied or he cant do it....but your question is too vague..i mean disprove it? no ine can..there clearly is a book called the bible..is it the true word of god would be a better question

To speak about it is wasting lifetime. I dont need to disprove something I cant even prove. Its not human nature to believe in something not provable, its irrational. Or do you believe someone talking about vampires, dragons, faeries and whatever. At least I assume something not provable to be wrong, otherwise I would need to believe all .... . Even more if we talk about the past.

I have had all the proof I need from first hand experiences.
