How did Judas really die? In Matthew it says he hanged himself but in Acts of the Apostles, it said he tripped and smashed his head open.
I couldn't find any translations that said he tripped or that he smashed his head open. Which did you find it in?

Below is the best explanation I could find as to what happened.

According to Matthew 27:5, Judas hanged himself. But Acts 1:18 says, “pitching head foremost he noisily burst in his midst and all his intestines were poured out.” Matthew seems to deal with the mode of the attempted suicide, while Acts describes the result. Combining the two accounts, it appears that Judas tried to hang himself over some cliff, but the rope or tree limb broke so that he plunged down and burst open on the rocks below. The topography around Jerusalem makes such an event conceivable.

What are the exact instances in the bible that proclaim homosexuality as a sin? I ask because I'd like to look into them and see if they are no longer held true or could be interpreted differently, so if you could somehow mark ones that aren't held by most christians anymore (Old testament or whatever, my bible knowledge sucks), it'd help.
I figured this question would come eventually. Since this topic is about what the Bible says, I'll base the answer purely on what it says. It'll take a bit a time too, so I apologize in advance for that.

I've been avoiding posting here, because majofa doesn't want anyone else's answers, and because I have a fairly good knowledge of the Bible already, but I thought of a question that maybe you can help me with.

I recall reading years ago a verse somewhere in the Bible (I think in the New Testament somewhere past the Gospels, but I am not sure, hence the question) where the writer criticized infant baptism.  However, when I tried to find the verse again later for reference, I was unable to.  If you know of or come across such a verse (doesn't have to be in the New Testament) would you mind quoting it?  I very hesitantly want to say it was someone like Paul who said it, but that's probably wrong, as that's primarily where I looked for it later.  It is possible I read it somewhere else and that is why I can't find it, but I was fairly confident it was in the Bible somewhere.  Even if you know of a reference in an apocryphal work or something... like I said, I don't recall where I found it.

edit: for grammar, and to mention I was most likely reading the King James version

I ask because I'd like to look into them and see if they are no longer held true or could be interpreted differently, so if you could somehow mark ones that aren't held by most christians anymore (Old testament or whatever, my bible knowledge sucks), it'd help.
Scriptures:
Leviticus 18:22
Romans 1:26-27
1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Spoiler for more detail on each scripture:
<<< Leviticus 18:22 >>>
Spoiler for Hidden:
This scripture states: 'you must not lie down with a male the same as with a woman, it is a detestable thing.'

At first look, it seems pretty obvious what this scripture's view of the act of homosexuality is, but a lot of what I read said otherwise. Do they have a basis for this?
They say that the scriptures in Leviticus 18 are referring to family members, and while the first 16 verses are in fact doing so, from verse 17 on they are not.
 - verse 17: a mother and daughter, not necessarily related to you
 - verse 18: a woman and her sister
 - verse 20: wife of your associate
 - verse 23: an animal
Verse 22 is stuck near the end of those verses, plus it would probably say: 'brother, father, son, uncle'.

<<< 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 >>>
Spoiler for Hidden:
This scripture states: 'Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers... nor men who lie with men... will inherit God's kingdom.'

I don't think I've seen more different translations of the phrase 'men who lie with men.' Some are: buggerers, effeminate*, men who practice homosexuality, nor men who have sex with men, men who let other men use them for sex or who have sex with other men, nor abusers of themselves with men, among others.
[*NOTE: Many of the translations that use effeminate remove the next portion of the verse... oute malakoi (they translate nor effeminate), oute arsenokoitai (they omit from their translation).. others translate it as 'nor abusers of themselves with mankind.']
The Greek word here is: ar·se·no·koi'tai (romanized), and the only translation I could find for it is 'liers with males' or just 'men who lie with men.'

<<< Romans 1:26-27 >>>
Spoiler for Hidden:
This scripture states: 'females changed their natural use into one contrary to nature and males left the natural use of females and became violently inflamed (passionate) in their lust toward one another, males with males, doing what is obscene (uncomely)'.
These two verses had very little difference in their wording in all the translations I looked at. The Bible seems very clear on its stand here.

Spoiler for Conclusion:
According to the Bible, the act of homosexuality is a sin.
If you practice homosexuality, you are not following what the Bible says, and, more so, what God says.
That may seem harsh, but the Bible is pretty clear on the matter.

Will +rep when not limited to phone. I thought i had heard leviticus didnt count because it was old testament, may have heard wrong. I will bhave to look at thos three sections to see if I believe what those sections say in general or not.

Probably needs its own thread, but the next step in my thinking is why is homosexuality extra condemed when the bible likewise says "dont judge least you be judged" and (iirc) that all sins are equal and ll people are sinners?

Also because im ignorant: none of those 3 are tthe word of jesus right? or are they? if not, at least i can point out to people that jesus said noting on the matter.

Really easy one for you; which Bible translation are you quoting from?  (when answering Naesala above) I typically favour the King James, and those quotes definitely don't have the old English feel to them.

Also, I asked a question back in May; did you have any ideas?  Don't spend hours on it or anything, but if you do happen to know, I'd appreciate it.

I wasn't able to find the verse that you mentioned.

(People can still ask questions if they want)
