Sorry for the necro, but I've been away from these fora for a while.

Interesting thread; here's my first question:

How many times did God directly command his followers to commit acts of genocide - specifically, wiping out entire cities/nations, down to the last child?

For some reason, I feel you already know the answer to this, and are asking it more to spark a debate, however, this isn't the thread to do that.

If I were interested in debate, I'd open a debate thread.  I assure you, the question was proferred in good faith.  Thank you, however, for assuming the worst of me... [/sarcasm]

^^I want to know that too. (And I seriously didn't even have a clue that he might have commanded something like this at any time. And yes, I will make a new thread for it if I want to discuss about your answer.)

You can't make something so plainly obvious and then try to play innocent. If you want people's opinions on it, then please feel free to make your own thread.

Funny how it could be so obvious to you, but not to me.  Guess you know more about me than I do.  Is this your idea of 'unbiased?'

Whatever.  Your presumption is very offensive, but that's your prerogative, I s'pose.

Ever think that, if I wanted people's opinions on a thing, I'd ask for people's opinions?  In no way whatsoever did I say anything that went against the grain of the thread, as outlined in your OP.  I asked a simple question, and not one of opinion.  If the answer is zero, just say so.  If it's a non-zero number, than say so.

But please, show the basic human courtesy of not assuming the intentions of another.

Even if you were right about him, this question really caught my interest. But I guess as to not create an avalanche of discussion posts, it's better not to answer that question here... So, majofa, I would be happy if you could look over there: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/religion/god-commanding-death-of-innocent-people/ Since I know nearly nothing (at least in comparison to you) about the bible.

Well, I guess that answers his question, funny that he was the one to answer it.

I provided a few examples of which I'm aware - a far cry from a comprehensive list.  Note that ElementalMyDearWatson provided even more examples than I did.

If you want a fight over this, majofa, let's take it to PM, okay?
