Evolutionist. It got holes sure but its better than everything else. Irreducible complexity that Eva Ria partly mentioned is interesting but its just weak evidence for creationism, also one of the organism parts the proponents of IC used to illustrate their point was shows to not be irreducible thanks to new findings (at least last time i read about this). This habit religious people have to give up and say GOD DID IT and getting debunked just gives more and more evidence of them being wrong. When you hit a dead end, dont give up and turn to the supernatural. Work on it and apply science and in the end it will be broken down unless it stands the test and scrutiny of (possibly) thousands of years of research, then rejoice and you've found a rule or building block of the universe/existance.

Its possible that all our life on this planet is engineered, even so that doesn't prove or give evidence to a supernatural god.

Getting debunked doesn't really give more evidence of their wrongness, it merely gives more evidence of their being debunked.
See, to religious people, God isn't really outside of science, so saying God did it can be them giving evidence to themselves. It does sometimes mean they've mentally given up.

If all life on this planet is engineered, then there has to be an engineer. I assume your saying that there could be a designer, which means that there could be a supernatural god. The designer or engineer being that supernatural god...so that statement is kinda odd...

If it were proved that all life on this planet was engineered all it would prove is that some alien did it. Nothing supernatural at all. A god is supernatural because if a god is not supernatural, why call it a god at all? Thats what I meant.

Creationist but not so much in religious but in idealist's sense.

Sorry... but I have to ask? How was the alien engineered?

As a quick counter to one response Im sure someone will ask
Quote from: someones thoughts
Where did God come from?
God always has and always will be in existence, has no beginning or end. If the answer is that the alien has always existed thats fine, but if its not, then I am curious as to where it came from.

Creationist but not so much in religious but in idealist's sense.
Thats why I didnt respond to the poll. Better Choice would be Intelligent Design, Evolution, Other.Covers the 2 main ideas, and then leaves room for people who dont believe an intelligent designer was behind it, and dont agree with evolution.

Lol, im not trying to start anything, but I just dont see how saying an alien did it (as a hypothetical, as from what I gathered aliens doing it isnt what the poster believes, but was mearly using it as an example.) accomplishes anything.

*edit, realized I didnt finish my post. *facepalm*

Well, if an alien engineered humanity than God as we generally think of him is not needed in the creationist theory of things.

But that doesnt answer my question of how did the alien come to be.
