Here's an interesting conclusion my wife came to in a moment of questionable lucidity.
Astrophysicists have come to the conclusion that our universe is a hologram. The "outside edge" of the universe contains on it all of the information that the inside space contains within it; more importantly every individual element of the hologram contains the pattern of the entire hologram within it.
Seriously, you can look that up. It's modern science in action.
Likewise, modern psychology has come to the conclusion that there is no unified personality; each of us is 'composed' of dozens of different 'people' that constantly struggle for dominance, and depending on the context of a given situation, different personas emerge.
My wife's conclusion was that if the universe is a hologram, and every sentient individual (that we know of) is composed of dozens of different 'people', then perhaps the universe itself is composed of dozens of different 'systems' that constantly vie for dominance, with any one of them being completely true within certain contexts.
Personally, I think she's a f***king genius, but then, I married her.
