He reflected Holy Light off his own Emerald Shield onto me.

I was Mark of Time and thanked him politely for the healing.

Apparently Heal works through shields since it's not targeted, but Holy Light does not.

Yeah, Miracle works through shields too. But you're right, Holy Light will get bounced, since it targets. Also, if you have a reflective shield, you can bounce a direct damage spell off of it, by targetting yourself, and have it hit an opponent that has a reflective shield, too. o-o

As far as I am aware the spell only reflects the first time.

If you have a reflective shield, you can bounce a direct damage spell off of it, by targetting yourself, and have it hit an opponent that has a reflective shield, too. o-o

That sums it up nicely.

Reflective Shields only reflect spells that require direct targeting, which Miracle does not.

Basically reflective shields are completely useless if you have one too. You can bounce a firebolt off your shield and it goes through.
