im really liking this deck and have had some pretty good success with it but keep running into the same two problems.  The first is bones shields which i can somewhat compensate with momentum, but it dilutes the deck some.  The other more annoying problems is with Otyugh, that bastard single handedly will destroy me with this deck, im new and would love some tips on how to modify the deck to maybe deal with this and get some monster control, thanks :)

Here's the version of this deck that I've been running with a little more success against otyugh...

Code: [Select]
6rl 74a 77d 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7di 7di 7dm 7dm 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7gn 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7qb 7qb 80a
Changes should be pretty obvious where to use them.  You're going to want to thunderbolt otyughs (if you have it) if they come out without a quint, as the congeal usually gets broken with a quint in the next turn or 2.  If they have a quinted otyugh, bring out a dragon with the heavy armor.  Gavel is also sometimes enough to win if you're board is completely controlled (but even then it'll usually get destroyed).  Also, I dropped 1 precog, so I guess it's now a 28 card deck... :)  Anyway, you can give it a shot if you like...

Precognition effectively reduces your deck size by 1, as it replaces itself in your hand with the top card of your deck after you cast it.

Hmm, I never thought of using precognition to lower deck amount. I just used it to look at opponents hand. This will make combo decks easier, as you can lower the card amount to 24. The rush itself works well from what I've tested in trainer. Nice work

Just a quick 1.21 update.  If you are using this (or something similar) to farm T50, then you probably want to work in a Fire Buckler.   This is  to kill off the Fractal/RoL/Hope thing going around.  It takes care of RoL's nicely.

You might want to consider replacing the fire towers with fire pendulums when they come out.

Updated for 1.25. Using balls of lightning instead of RoLs. It's really a matter of preference, but balls of lightning will give you a bigger damage burst if you need it. Also changed fire towers to fire pendulums -> so your lava destroyers don't get hindered. Because you have so much more earth quanta now, I threw in a couple of heavy armors.

These synergize with your lava destroyers & red dragons (prevents them being killed easily) AND they allow your balls of lightning to live if you want it (1 earth quanta + 2 cards for a 5|6 creature.. not too bad imo).

Can I ask, why not use non-upped Phoenix instead of the crimson dragon? You can play them off the first immolation, and they are effectively 2-3 more RoL in the deck, allowing you to sacrifice something in case your opener has no RoL, but has cremations, lava destroyers, and dragons (which would be phoenixes, in this case).

And they let you do dumb things like an opener of 2x Phoenix, 1x Lava Golem, 2x Cremation. That's 30 damage on the second turn. Let alone the nuts opener of 2x phoenix, 2x lava golem, 3x cremation, which is an astounding 46 damage, second turn.
