This is a straightforward Control Deck.

It's only weakness is Enhance artifact heavy decks.
  • It's extremely heavy on draw (5 hourglass) but It has the anti-deck photon + eternity.  Not that It usually comes to that.
  • It has 9 spells for early bored removal (5 lightning 2 steal 2 explosion).  Save these for pesky mind flayers, fallen elves, Anubis, and weapons early game.  Mid game you can take out shields, bonds, and hourglasses.
  • 7 weapons and 6 flying weapon so that you can have 6 weapons in play and one in the weapon slot.  Use eagle eye over two turns to take out most creatures, and save lightning for vital times.
  • You DO have the quantum to use your pulverizers each turn, so keep picking at their towers even if it seems like it doesn't make a difference.  Eventually they'll be all gone. Same with bone walls.
  • Jade shield to stop direct damage decks like fire bolts.
  • Don't completely deck yourself out, generally stop around 10 cards.  Unless you are sure they won't destroy your eternity.

It's really Impossible to make the deck smaller.  In fact if anything could be changed, I'd add another steal and another explosion + a tower but I don't think It's needed.

Sick.  Does it work against gods at all? Purely by creature and permanent control I'd assume it had a small chance...emphasis here being on small.

There's 3.  Problem with gods is the early game.  If they didn't draw 2 cards a turn It'd work fine.  Or if I started with 10 of each quantum It'd probably also have a good chance.  But It's probably very poor right now Vs gods.  It's Intended for PVP tho.

Hmm.. what concerns me is the big deck size. I really think you should make it smaller so there would be less chance of a bad draw. You have Eternity so smaller deck should work just as well.

Why not do this deck with 2 Pulverizers and 2 Eagle's Eye's? With 2 x Animate Weapons also gone, that would make deck 4 cards smaller. Then you could remove 1-2 Hourglass, Towers, maybe 1 Supernova.. you could easily make this 40 cards, if not smaller.

Yes, I have considered it but decided against. Reverse time as a spell Is rather rarely used in PvP.

5 Thunderstorm + 3 Eagle's eyes + 1 jade shield is a lot of defense.  You are likely Imagining the opponent with a few creatures on the bored which just doesn't happen.

It sounds nice but It hasn't been working.  Problem Is that the weapons are the Only real control/defense in the deck long term.  Everything else is there just for safety and aren't as important for lockdown/wins as the weapons. The deck started out as 30 cards and played similarly to your instant kill deck except not so much instant kill, but instant control.



Following your line of thought to the extreme I could go to something like this.

Already, compared to the 30 card option at the top, there just aren't enough weapons to keep it as fast as it needs to be.  And now If I go from here and add just 2 more weapons and 2 more flying weapon I'd have to add at least 2 more towers.  That's 6 cards.  By then my early control cards are too thin and I'd want to add at least 1 explosion 1 steal, 2 thunderbolt, and 2 towers again.  And now there aren't really enough hour glasses to sift through the deck and turn some bad hands into good hands.  So I'd have to add 2 of those and 1 tower.  And now we're pretty much back at what the deck is.  But let me know what you think of any of those compared to the current deck.

I really wish there was a way to trade 3-4 rares for a rare of choice. Then I could turn some of my 22 owl eyes into pulverizers and try different deck types!

I remember somebody tryed all flying weapons trick on me and it failed because Oty where so big before eagle could come out :)

but it's an awesome strat.

All the weapons have over 5 HP and for each oty you have, I have a thunderbolt.

Wouldn't it be better to have weapons spread across different elements as much as possible? That would reduce the quanta requirements on certain elements by a significant amount, and you could probably get away with fewer towers...

I'll design something here and try it, return later with the results
