Title: Titan's Tears [30 upped cards]
Post by: fbparis on January 03, 2012, 07:07:00 am
Deck Helper comment:
This deck was posted before the 1.32 game update and as a result may work very differently now.  Use at your own risk.

A fun deck with some extravagant combos:

Several strategies are possible but the main idea is to get a SoR Anubis then a SoR Dark Nymph then animate a Titan, vampirize it with the nymph and make it immortal with anubis.

Usually you'll have to draw a Time Nymph first (with SoR if you can) to boost the availability of needed cards (Anubis, SoR, etc). Permafrost shield may help surviving too, or drawing a Gravity nymph. Will depend on your opponent's deck :)

What do you think ?

Edit: As suggested, I've done a completely different version, still a Rainbow deck so I'm pasting it here, but no more tears so the name of the deck should change.

I think that as long as you're just in it for the SoR'd immortality generator, you might as well use Aether Pends instead of Anubis; the generated Nymph, Aether Nymph, does the same thing as Anubis. However, although expensive you can pull off the Aether Nymph's ability once or twice even if you don't have SoR, while immortalizing is impossible with the non-SoR'd Anubis in this build. Also, this lets you ditch the stress on :time. I get that SoR helps slightly with Time creatures, but given that everything's so expensive in this deck you probably won't be playing so many creatures in one turn that you can take advantage of the SoR's letting you immortalize twice that turn instead of once.

With 2xTitan and 2xAnimate weapon, you will never get a consistent flying Titan.

It would be easier to just make this a rainbow deck, replacing Dark Pend/Dark Nymph with just Liquid Shadows. It's not like you're going to be using Liquid Shadow on many creatures, so you might as well just bring the spell instead of the nymph. Making this a rainbow (with SN) also helps you get quanta consistently. If you want the extra draw power provided by potential SoR'd Golden Nymphs, just bring Hourglasses. They'll be more expensive, but they also help with consistency (here, if you can't SoR that Golden Nymph you'll be stressing :time more than with Hourglasses in a rainbow deck, especially with the expense of 2xAnubis).

Ditch 1 HG and 1 quint for a TU and Adrenaline(It is way better in damage)
Ditch both permafrosts for a squid and a fog shield/Antimatter/another Titan(1 should stay in hand).

Thanks, it looks quite better, I'm updating the first message so :)

Edit: just thought something.. the second quint could be removed too, and so skyblitz could be added since non immaterial titan has airbone skill :D

I'm not all that convinced it's a good idea to remove all the quints. A couple of Reverse Time's and you're pretty much good as dead, and the same goes for Antimatter to a certain extent. Relying only on 3 attackers (even with the hefty HP they have) is quite risky. Also, quinted Octopus is just lovely.

Sure, and Quint could also be played on octopus sometimes, but with the skyblitz, and 2 TU, if you play carefully it's alright :)

I'm trying this now, and seems good :)

Still tunning it... I'm not sure for the Miracle.

This definitely looks better than the deck in the OP.

The OP rainbow deck looks evil... need to try it out some day.  :D
But well, what I'd suggest is +1 epinephrine and -1 rage elixir.
Rage elixirs add 6 damage while epinephrine adds 6+3 damage... Nuff said.
Also, even with liquid shadow, your titan has got 18 turns. If you can't win in 18 turns, you deckout anyways...
Plus, one more electrum hourglass seems to add some consistency.
Gotta upgrade my titans for this  ;D

New name: Titan-ium
