really? so you can just speed rush? Thats epic....

Oh yeah, and I read on the pestosis page that gargs are better than vamps cause they don't lose damage potential when mitosis'ed and they can't be stopped if you stone form them before you mitosis them.

They are both viable creatures for the deck. The usefulness in vamps is if the opponent got a weapon and/or creatures out before you locked them down. Chances are they won't be able to use any CC once you have them locked down.

That's the reason I prefer brims and phoenixes at the moment, though. Opponents that do have CC usually waste it on pests, allowing you to get a large amount of fire quanta from brims. Then phoenixes are almost immune to CC.

I switched the brimstone eaters with gemfinders, (yes less damage) but the elite graboids instead of phoenixes start out burrowed, thus immune to even more, and grow into shreikers! not to mention the earth quanta can burrow the shreikers, and burrow the pests...

I think its got more "ability to win" but its definately a little slower... (not by much)

on second thought... the shreikers kinda flunk... they cost too much to get out.

Ya, shriekers are expensive, and grabs can't be fractaled.

I just realized that you said something about getting rid of fractals when I said add mitosis. I was just suggesting that you could add mitosis to stabilize the deck. I've been playing the deck without the brims and phoenixes and +2 fractal +1 eclipse so I could get the pest spam faster.

Yet that deck would lack reliable offense. You'd have only three cards that could do damage. As a thirty card deck without eternity, you must have a reliable source of damage.

If you were to use mitosis, you'd have a very different deck. Due to the life mark used to fuel the mitoseses, you'd have an abundance of life quanta. You could easily utilize frogs as your damage source.

I was talking about keeping fractals/ aether mark, adding a mitosis or 2 for consistency and eclipse, so that you could finally have a whole field of pests, as opposed to pests/ brims. The field of pests would be doing 46 damage on its own.

And as I said, you wouldn't have reliable damage output. Discords and eclipse at the bottom? You lose. A smart opponent would also know to simply hold onto quanta producing cards and explosions. Then burst down the discords and eclipse when you play them. Not all decks can do that, but some can, and those decks are quite popular.
