I lost when :
-The god played a creature with a creature control ability. No quints and playing an otyugh faster than the god plays his (usually first or second turn) creature requires an awesome start (2 supernovas, and a quantum tower which gives a gravity quantum, plus one of the two otyugh AND you have to go first AND the god shouldn't play it in the first turn)
Scorpio (arctic squid), Elednis (Ultharid), any gods with an Otyugh (Graviton or Dark Matter, although dark matter is hopeless anyway it drains too much quantum) are this category
-When the god had like 6-8 creatures before I could play my first otyugh. Six sundials, even if you draw all of them only gives you six free turns. That's not enough against gods that play like two new creatures each turn. (Paradox, Destiny, etc)
Bone walls in that situation give you about one turn only, near useless. And only if you have 5 death quantum for them. They are great cards but ONLY when a lot of creatures die each turn. Unless you play against morte who kills your skeletons and fireflies with plague, it won't happen because you can only kill one, at most two creatures a turn with otyugh(s)
-When I had to use my druids on the opponents too large to eat creatures (dragons and stuff with 10+ health), and they become even more dangerous.
-When I didn't draw an otyugh in time...or when it was killed by spells.
-Or when I had a lot of poison before I could play 20+ creatures for the feral bond.
No phase shield, no firestorm, no SoG, nothing that helps you survive in the early game except for the sundials, and that was not enough. Maybe it worked well before sundial nerf, definitely not now.
