I've got better odds of drawing it if there are 4 dolls in the deck than 3 with 3 precogs. The result was this deck.

Not that I disbelieve you at all, Jen, but this just seems deeply counterintuitive to me.  Can you share your math?

What's counterintuitive about that? 4/29>3/27.

I wanted to try this, but didn't have the :electrum to upgrade things, so I put together an unupgraded version that relies on pendulums for the  :darkness  :earth and  :gravity instead of supernovas, also providing the  :aether from the mark.  It's a bit slower, but it's also a LOT cheaper. It goes a little something like this:

Code: [Select]
55t 55t 55t 576 576 576 576 595 595 595 595 595 595 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5v0 5v0 5v0 606 606 606 606 61r 61r 61r 61r 61r 61r
I've been throwing it against Level 5 AI with pretty good success.

The voodoo combination is already very hard to set up, and you don't want to be compromising your chances even further by adding cards that aren't necessary for it. Even if they do buy you more time to set everything up, your games will then take longer.

Any modifications that reduce the speed of this deck, even if they increase the win rate, ultimately go against what the deck is built for: speed. If you want a higher win rate and/or EM's, you can try RoL/Hope or CCYB. They are still fast, but they just don't compare with this deck's 8 turn wins.

If you win 1.5 times more cards, but it takes you twice as long to do so, your overall gain per time goes down.

Just finished 150 games with the 4 doll 4 G Force set up

the win percentage is
drum roll please ......................................................................33%

I won exactly 50 of my 150 games - was a depressing losing streak to end - I won 1 of the last 15 games.

I compiled TTW data as well

ttw = 9.52
and average game length = 178.44s - so right around 3 minutes per winning game

loses ranged from 0 seconds to around 3 minutes.

To note - there were games I quit if I felt they were hopeless and I auto-quit whenever I faced Dark Matter - so that should tend to skew the odds a little - if anything it should improve the win percentage slightly.

That's some long games, I usually get games of 120-150 seconds, did you fall asleep during one game? ;)
I think this deck is really one that usually performs very fast, but the average is wrecked by fgs like Chaos Lord and Decay who simply take longer. Losing against Decay is one of the more frustrating losses since it takes a while before you can actually see a loss is inevitable (when all your quanta is drained for example).
From some stats of my own I had a ttw of 9.18 (including a 5 and 21 turn win), I'm probably somewhat more aggressive in putting up the doll :P

Edit: I just noticed yours was with a different version, hard to compare then if there aren't such detailed stats on other versions ::)

I heard about this deck just a few days ago, and now I found it. I was impressed by the stats vs Rainbow, and I decided to try... in the trainer.

10 games, 3 victories, vs Incarnate, Hermes and Rainbow. Impressive. But I also lost a lot of games. I bet with a better XP using the deck, I could maybe avoid like 1 of these. Got some bad match ups, too. Like Gemini, with his momentuned Spiders. And Paradox used the TU atack in a 13/13 Photon just the turn before I would kill him... But in my opinion the deck really lacks estability. No dolls... or no gravity force. Or not enough BB to keep the doll alive enough to use the amount of TUs I had / could use to get the kill. This was the case vs Divine Glory, for example. Even in the games I won, the doll was with like 4hp, so 1 creature more from the FG and I would lose.

In fact, I like the combo, its creative, and its a good combo. But looks very unstable.

the time per game is probably a little out - I was active in chat while testing the deck - no crazily so - but there nonetheless.

I'm starting a run with a 2 doll and 2 Grav Force version - using 5 precogs - we'll see how that works out - I wasn't holding my breath but the first 10 games seem promising.

okay I'm done 50 games - should be enough to give a feel for the win percentage.

Totally Counter-Intuitive but the win percentage went up a bunch.

I'm at 44% and I don't feel like its been a run of good luck - the precogs really make the deck flow.
I'll probably run another 100 games or so to get a better set of stats on the deck - but I'm starting to think about tinkering with the Pendulum Supernova quotient as well.

If anyone else picks up this variation let me know how your stats are going - I may just be riding one end of the bell curve.

Does the math really work like that? I'd think that with.. a 2/25 chance to draw a voodoo or gravity force, it'd take an average of five turns just to draw either. Then remember that you need both and factor in bad draws, and you could easily spend many games dead before even getting the combo. Still, I suppose one voodoo and gravity force is all you need, and this way, you have a higher change of drawing BB's and TU's.

I'll try it though and see if it is just you being lucky. If it maintains that 44% win rate, it's almost as good as some FG decks with around 50% win rate, but so much faster.

In the meantime, casual EM vs Hermes :3
