I originally found this deck on here, and added a few cards of my own. I find it works pretty well, but I just feel there's something missing.. Sometimes I run out cards too early, sometimes I wish I had several Enchant Artifacts, and maybe even an Improved Miracle for those times where I just can't launch hell quickly. This deck has proven stable, but it needs to be more.

Any and all help appreciated.  ;D

Ahh, Scaredgirl's Rainbow as I always called it. :) Quite nostalgic.

I prefer using this deck with at least 2 Elite Otyughs, 1 Bonewall and 1 Eternity, tho that's more like personal preference.
Eternity is useful to prevent deckouts.
You already have 2 shields and 2 weapons competing in your deck, but you only have place for 1, I would also change that.

And I just noticed that you excluded the soul of this deck: the stalling part. Normally this deck should contain sundials and dimshields.
My personal preference is 6 sundials and 1 dimshield.

This is the deck I used a long time ago to farm AI4:

I like the possibility of adding a Dimensional Shield, the Ice Shield only really helps in times of immediate danger.. Sundials! That's it! Brilliant. Will definitely see what adding these will change. Thank you!

Also, when you say change the weapon and shields because of space for 1/1, do you mean I should cut back to just one weapon and one shield in the deck? Adding an Eternity is a good idea for that backup to ensure I don't lose to myself, and the Fire Buckler has proven useful, it has definitely helped with the Oty growth.. A second Oty would help too..

One more question I had.. Is there a good Pillar/Deck ratio..? As I add cards, I wonder how many pillars I should add to compensate..?

Well yes, as you add and remove cards, you may also want to change the amount of quantum pillars in your deck. With this deck, I should keep the number of cards under 41 to pull out the combos as early as you can. The amount of pillars needed are decided by your deck's Quanta Index.

And yes, I suggest having only 1 weapon and 1 shield, unless you have a way to function more (flying weapon, crusader, shields that expire after a time).

Edit: I'd tell you more about a deck's Quanta Index, but only if you're interested in maths. :)

First I advise you to read a bit here:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/general-discussion/using-quanta-index-to-determine-the-optimal-number-of-pillars-in-a-deck/

Here is an advanced formula:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/general-discussion/identifying-the-optimal-quanta-index/

But I try to tell it shortly with my words too:

The optimal Quanta Index for any deck is around 5. To build a deck around this, I use the following:

Take a single element that you use in your deck. For later reference, I will refer to the chosen element with this mark: :underworld.

(Number of Pillars in your deck) = [ (Total amount of :underworld quanta used to pay for all your :underworld cards) - (The cost of filler cards) + (Proper total of ability costs that use :underworld quanta) - (Spell bonus) ] / 5 - (other constant :underworld quanta sources)

What these things mean:
  • Total amount of :underworld quanta used to pay for all your :underworld cards
e.g: if we look at :entropy in your original deck, this is 2*6+5*2+5=27
  • The cost of filler cards
e.g: if you pack 3 permafrost shields in your deck just to get one out early, you only need to count the permafrost shield's cost (7 :water) once in the above formula, because you will only pay for it once
  • Proper total of ability costs that use :underworld quanta
e.g: if we look at :gravity quanta in your original deck, your Elite Otyugh and your Pulverizer also has a skill of :gravity cost. We can say that you want to use your Pulverizer's skill every turn but your Otyugh's ability is only used sometimes when it can be used. Any skill cost that you plan to use every turn has to be doubled here, so your Proper total of ability costs that use :gravity quanta in your original deck is 2*2+1=5
  • Spell Bonus
This is where nova/supernova and towers come into discussion. A nova's spell bonus=1 for :underworld quanta, Supernova=2, Tower=1 (except Quantum Towers). So your spell bonus for :underworld quanta in your original deck is 2*6=12
  • Other constant :underworld quanta sources
e.g: your mark grants 1 :entropy quanta, so you need 1 less :entropy quanta source in your deck. Quanta generating creatures are also counted here, so if your deck had 6 devourers, you would need 6 less :darkness quanta sources.

Note that for Quantum Pillars, the (Number of pillars in your deck) has to be multiplied 3 times (I don't know why 3 and why not 4, but let's accept this), so if you use quantum pillars, you must use 3 times the amount that you would pack otherwise.
Or we can reverse this and say that 1 Quantum Pillar genereates 1/3 :underworld quanta.

Someone figured it out already. The secret sauce is few hourglasses and plenty of sundials.
My 3 game-modification principles:
1. If it ain't broke, don't wreck it.
2. Simple fixes for simple problems.
3. Remember to fill in the holes.
