Title: Ragequit Factory [PVP]
Post by: Chapuz on January 05, 2012, 04:12:13 pm
"What? You have a pair of antimattered creatures and 20 cells against an untargetable shield and a rewinding Photon with a protected Eternity? Sorry bro."

V3:

Because when something like this happens,

The oponent's face becomes like this:

WINNING STRATEGY
While drawing cards fast with your hourglasses, antimatter, afla poison, flood and rewind oponent's creatures untill his bench is full of useless cells and antimattered creatures. Enjoy weird comments and eventually insults from the oponent while rewinding your photon, letting the oponent loose running out of cards. Ocationally, the oponent will Ragequit complaining about your play style.

30 cards. Hyper fast build. Offers versatility against various types of decks.Wide open space for writing comments in the screenshots. Fun granted!

Maybe add a purify (since it looks quite vulnerable to neurotoxin)?

Can be beatten easily with an Instosis deck. :-\

You are right, it's a possible addition.

Can be beatten easily with an Instosis deck. :-\
The counters to Instosis (and any other OHKO deck, there are almost 10 OTK styles for PVP) are:
. Sundials,
. Silences,
. Black Holes,
. GoTp + Nightmare,
. Quick ninja Pests,
. Quick Earthquakes,
. An early discord that doesn't let it play the 1st Supernova,
. A rushy deck with explotions, BE or pulvy for the oponent's Sundials.

This isn't a denial deck, just wins against almost any other non OHKO deck. Like a boss.

have you considered using any shards and more antimatters (thinking of shard of divinity) and with only a small amount of antimatters you can't stop man creatures.I would rather have a higher chance of getting an em so maybe +1-2 antimatters and some sod's. Other than that it looks like a great deck it looks like a smaller mr sexingtons ragequit. :P

Being a 30 card deck and with 3 hourglasses, the locking build is so fast that the oponent doesn't have enough time to make a stable attak. That's why with 3 antimatters I guarantee having 3 creatures (out of max 5) with negative attak. Inundation is mainly to don't let the oponent play creatures while the cells are expanding, because the afla is played really fast and by that time the oponent never has 5 creatures in play. The sanctuaries offer some additional healing, apart from the quanta protection, meanwhile the lockdown is in process. The 2 PAs offer some flexibility. If the oponent has earquakes, the first one goes to the towers, and if the oponent has PC, one will go to the Eternity and the other one to what you need in that particular match (hourglass, sanc or flood).

is 1 mirror shield enough considering it's your only form of defense other than 3 antimatters from a lot of malignent cells

Yes it is, because it's really a fast drawing deck.

Just saying, this deck isn't IMPOSSIBLE to break - any 30+ card deck with either a lucky ice bolt or BB + Voodoo Doll should be able to deck it out.

Would aflatoxining your photon, and then add an emphatic bond be clever?

two turns of risk (but who wastes a cc on a photon / cell?). But you're guaranteed to outheal anything.

Or maybe: parellel universe a cell :p

Yep, Ralouf1 got it right - BBing a voodoo doll will stun the eternity, preventing the photon rewind.  A lucky ice bolt could freeze the eternity and do the same thing.

It's not common to see Shakars style decks, but i guess it's a counter.

I question the use of mirror shield instead of jade shield. Light quanta is already used by sancs and jade shield blocks 2 dmg.

Mirror Shield costs 2 quanta instead of 5. If I wanted to use Jade Shield, the oponent's Cells would eat me out before I could get 5  :life quanta, many times xD

You will get the quanta for it before you will even play Aflatoxin...

Objection! I haven thought about that  ::) You are both right, I'm replacing it. It worked nice for me with the Mirror, anyways.

I tried using it tonight and found the biggest problems are immaterial creatures (e.g. immortals and flying glories, quinted otys) and growing creatures. Needs more healing IMO.

For speed, it doesn't seem that fast but a bigger issue I've had with pvp is black hole, and since this is a rainbow deck, it definitely isn't blackhole proof...

is the OP saying that since the low cost of the cards or the mass amount of towers, it shouldn't have much trouble with black holes?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong and PVP doesn't carry over to arena...? I can see folks ragequitting after a few turns of seeing this deck roll. Until you hit an hourglass, it doesn't seem faster then any other deck but once those come out, it does seem pretty decent.

Would it be worth switching sanctuary for one bond and swapping the photon for the PU/TU like pulli suggested?

Maybe dropping 1 or 2 towers for the above items? would that throw off your quantum production too much?

Playing with a deckout deck against arena isn't de happiest idea xD
Of course it has its counters, like supermassive blackholes when they come before you can play the fitst sanctuary, or decks with lots of tiny creatures (like life rush) that walk over the 3 antimatters this deck has (with a late innundation).

It has been designed for PVP2 other than arena, and works much better there.

Use ball lightning for that instead. It dies more quickly.

No, if the oponent has CC and I have a single cell, a smart person would know htere is a strategy on it and would kill it.
Yeah, changed to a spark ^^

Pretty cool deck. I'll just add to the list of possible counters though: a druid/elf-based mutation deck. as long as i get one of those in the middle 5 (it's fine if you anti matter it) then all the cells become targets and more likely than not i'll get some big beasties in time. note that when you antimatter them i'll just re-mutate them.

Needs a Rewind for those last-draw Eternities.  Also, wouldn't hurt for a Time Tower for those decks with a decent punch of quanta control.

I can say the rewind will help in 1/30 games and bother in the other 29  :-\
And I don't think adding time towers will be a great idea, as the strategy is to have the stall ASAP and by the time you play the Eternity you will have enough quanta to use it tones of times ^^

Would SoB work better than the hourglass?

And if the QT give enough time you could change to :fire mark. I don't know, but it feels like the possibility to draw 3 cards in one turn allows a faster setup than to draw 2 cards per turn.
But I'm not sure about it, just asking :)

I'm not a SoBr fan in non-denial decks, because if the oponent has enough quanta generation it will be better for him too. Also, you can't cast it whenever you want because you will draw the same amount of cards the oponent can, whick can be also zero.

SoFos are good destroying permanents ASAP, no one wants to waste it in rewinding it every turn. It can be rewound when it has high HP though.

Any creature that costs 0 quanta is good. You will never play it without rewinding it, so a spark/photon is OK.

Besides the fact that i was joking and adding quints would only mess up the deck performance, just adding quints would be better as they arent vulnerable to CC, unlike the rather expensive nymph

Well, poison has never killed me, but since this deck has a slow start, I often find myself getting  quite a bit of poison counters (against poison decks) before being able to shut them down. This rarely kills me, but it does prevent my EM.
So I'm saying that if you would put anything in (which is not necessary), I would suggest a purify.

0-10 with this deck in PVP2.  Um, rage quit is right.  :'(

Granted my sample is small, but it seems like there are far too many counters to this deck.  And in no instances did I find it to be fast -  it took ages to get enough quanta to throw out aflatoxin it seemed. I also found a big argument against using SOF as the reverse creature for endgame; I ended up screwing myself because the 6 random quanta took me below the 3 time quanta needed to reverse!

Not the winningest deck out there for PVP2 but easily the most fun I've played to date. As usual, Chapuz is an artist when it comes to deck construction. Awesome, and well worth the electrum to upgrade necessary cards.

-2 SoFo +2 Pests I suggest.

Strategy:

1 SoFo is for PC. destroy any one perm asap. Keep the 0|16 SoFo to counter any annoying perms.
If SoFo dies, don't care about it.

Play the pests if you can. Burrow them asap.
when you have to bounce creature, unburrow one and bounce it.
Pest costs 2 :darkness.
Bouncing quanta generations are 1 :darkness from the burrowed Pest and 1 :darkness from QTs.

...just throwing Pests over the face //.//

/

Or,
-3 SoFo
+2 Twin Universe
+1 SoP
OTK like a boss.. nevermind.

when you have to bounce creature, unburrow one and bounce it.
Pest costs 2 :darkness.
Bouncing quanta generations are 1 :darkness from the burrowed Pest and 1 :darkness from QTs.

...just throwing Pests over the face //.//

Or,
-3 SoFo
+2 Twin Universe
+1 SoP
OTK like a boss.. nevermind.

I will update it as soon as I get a computer, any 1-cost creature works. Thanks!!
