The  deck (dim shield chain) is the biggest weakness so I replaced a CP with Unstoppable (forgetting that Lobo takes out Momentum!) ... meh - it all worked in the end! lol

It would change the gameplay a lot. Not sure it would decrease its ttw a lot.

See a sundial? SoP for a turn. Win in ttw.
See a Dimention shield? SoP for a few turns. Win in ttw.
Hand full of sparks? SoP just for a turn and it's a win in ttw too.
Etc...

At least if your opponent has at least HB-class offence.

Good for Balls though. Back when SoP was an 'Other' card, I'd 6-turn Elders with Fractal Balls. Fastest MA ever.
However, since this deck already packs so many buffs, SoP is somewhat inefficient. It would be good if you only draw Balls, as you said, but mostly because that lets you attack with them until you draw Cremation+better offence. The risk is that they'll get CC'd since they only have 1 HP. Without Cremation fodder you're in trouble.
