i tried this deck and it looks promising against FGs with few more tweaking .
one thing i found that the steam engine doesn't seems to fit well (well, at least in my tries) - i always found myself in need to fractal the lava destroyer to inflict more damage but i cannot play all of them due to insufficient fire quanta. i don't know, maybe replace it with something else or add elite FFQ - but that would be similar to amilir's deck... just giving some suggestions.

Yeah there may be more effective fgs decks, but this one is definately more fun than most.  As a PvP deck it will still stop rushes cold with its CC potential.

Im going to try this deck, and thanks for modifying it :)
Edit: Another possible way to add more damage is add a Graveyard and a Fallen Druid.
Edit: Shouldnt Thorn Carpace be unupgraded so they can kill the little 1/1 guys?
You are using aflatoxin so you need to block the 1 damage cells fill the field. Besides even if you aren't using afla the damage reduction is more helpful since there are no 1 damage creatures that have abilities that would hurt you (besides virus but poisoning them wouldn't help anyways).

I will definitely try this deck out. Just gotta up a spine carapace or two i think.

ETA - i seriously have some bad luck trying new decks. 3-10 with your version. 2 of my wins came vs Hermes oddly enough. What hurts this deck is that there is zero stall at all. If you don't get your shield quickly these games go quick.

Hermes (2-0)
Divine Glory (0-3)
Chaos Lord (0-2)

One of these days when I get time I need to revisit this deck.  The concept has lots of win potential versus fg if I were to tweak it right.  However the more I tweak it for fg's, the wose it will do in its original intention, a nasty anti-rush PvP deck.

So simply make two versions of it. Nasty pvp (pure evil) and FG deck.

I´ve tested it over an hour now and it definitly CAN kill FGs, but is mostly way too slow to do so. (i guess 40 is a lil too big for supernovas)

Actually, using it upped works better. "the little 1/1 guys" will just clog up the field, doing no damage and taking potential spots. And very few creatures are 1/1 (that FG's have).

If I had 2 fire nymphs, I'd switch them for the bloodsuckers, right?

I'm working on updated PvP and fg versions of this deck.  Stay tuned.

I'm going to try to cut the versions to 35 cards so they work more effectively.

Interesting idea with a lot of potential. I was experimenting with Spine Carapace myself but went a sightly different route. I bunched up a couple Graveyards and Feral Bonds but didn´t include the Demon for some reason.I usually ended up getting killed because it took to long for the creatures to die, but the Demon might change that.

edit: was bored and revived the idea. Here is the train of thoughts :

Version 1.0
Code: [Select]
4vd 4vd 5c3 5c3 5c6 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6tt 717 77f 77f 77i 7gp 7gp 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 7ta 80h 80h 80hReally horrible design i know.This was the first thing i´ve build.
I currently don´t own upped Carapeces so i used the normal ones w/o Aflatoxin.

Screenshot:

Flaws:
-For the Maxwell Demons to work efficiently you need a Thorn Carapace out. And 7 :life is quite hard to get w/o Novas in time.Permafrost and Fog Shield help to buy time till you get everything done.
-> have to add Supernova and need a way to get both the Carapace and the Maxwell Demon regularly (up the ammount used and/or add card draw).Add Fog Shield.

-Graveyard + Eclipse + Empathic Bond worked like a charm, but aren´t really needed.Bond is a dead card w/o a few creatures on the table. Graveyard + Eclipse both just speed up the killing when the board is under control and don´t help in any way to lockdown the board.
-> cut Graveyard, Eclipse , Empathic Bond. Gonna need Eternity more often cause of the lack of damageoutput.

-Thorn Carapace
I was really afraid of it beeing stolen and literally had to wait for a PA to show up to not screw myself.Usually most gods just run Explosions or Pulvies to get rid of it, thats not a big deal - but Steal was really scary even with a Pulvy on the table.
->add a 2nd PA. it also helps to protect Eternity.

Version 1.5
Code: [Select]
4vd 4vd 5c3 5c3 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6tt 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 77f 77f 77i 77i 7gp 7gp 7n0 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 80h 80h 80hThoughts:
-low damageoutput.just 3 Demons + Weapons to do damage, gonna take forever to kill something.add Golem/Graveyard/Steam Engine
-too many cards (40) to get the combo out regularly
-tower count seems to be too low (9 + 6 nova for 40 cards) while the average cost are high
-5 Shields almost guarantees dead draws / dead cards in your hand
-insufficient life (5 Shards - nothing else while it takes long to setup Demon/Quint/Carapace and Carapace doesn´t hold back creatures from attacking like Permafrost Shield does.) Might have to add Miracle(s) and/or Sundials. Antimatter cost too much when i want to play/use Demons so that is no option.
-Sundials should help with the drawing problem and life problem so they should definatly be played

Version 2.0

Code: [Select]
4vd 4vd 5c3 5c3 5rp 5rp 5rp 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6tt 6u3 6u3 6u3 77f 77f 77i 7dq 7n0 7q5 7q5 7q8 80h 80h 80hResult:
Rainbow - Loss
Just stomped me . too much permanent control. would have needed either more permanents or PA.Early Hourglass got destroyed as the shards - nothing i could do.

Divine Glory - Loss
Stomped me  aswell.
Demons just do nothing and a single Fog Shield doesn´t really help. Too many dead cards, too much damage taken. Also lack of carddraw.

Ferox - Win
Got a good opening hand, the topdecks where fine aswell. Fog Shield out early.Ferox Creatures are mostly unaffected by the early Demon i play.Pulvy taking care of Bounds, 2 Shards buy time.I save my Sundials till the last moment to buy more turns.First Carapace shows up at 11 cards left :/ but in the meantime i got enough Shards out to stay alive and a Golem growing.
After that the 2 Deamons i got in play finally go to work and elmiminate every threat for a safe victory. I finish the game with 42 HP and 8 cards left. Was a very fast game and i drew everything i needed when i needed (pretty lucky). (won a upped Feral Bond)
-
Even with good draws and early Pulvy / Deamon / Fog Shield it was relative close. 2 Shards less or without the Fog Shield i would have died pretty sure.

screenshot:

----

Version 2.5 (slim)
Code: [Select]
4vd 5c3 5c3 5rp 5rp 5rp 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6tt 6u3 6u3 6u3 74b 77f 77f 7dq 7n0 7q5 7q5 80h 80h 80hfew modifications. dropped eternity, pa and replaced a deamon with oty. list is now 35 cards.

Morte - loss
ouch . he got 2 boneyards out and i had an early thorn carapace .... well the result was 2 20+  vultures i could kill with the deamon, but i couldn´t break his Bone Wall while i decked out. Incarnate should be simmilar so there have to be some changes.

Version 2.6
Code: [Select]
4vd 5c3 5c3 5rp 5rp 5rp 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6tt 6u3 6u3 6u3 717 717 74b 77f 77f 7n0 7q5 7q5 80h 80h 80hcut the golem for 2 graveyards to fix the bone wall issue.

Hermes - loss
Got stomped. Couldn´t find a Deamon in time so his armored golem just stomped me while he destroyed every single permanent i brought into play. Sundials.

@sal: I like version 2.5 & 2.6 a lot, but it seems to lack huge damage sources (1 is simply too less without eternity)
