You have averages for this? Can you explain more? Ive never heard of anyone putting in improved mutate for added damage unless it was used on the weakest creatures in the game.
I have no stats or calculations (so far),
but I can tell that you do have a good target: singularity.
of course, that requires 2 SN played in a single turn (but once you got mutation and you don't need the quanta you can save up),
but you may also get weak creatures from SoSe regularly.
edit:
the average of every possible creature's base attack is 327/89 =3.67
if we assume the mutant has the same chance for every creature, and the average stat bonus is 2.5,
we get an average damage of 6.17.
and we may just get an additional skill.
