I started using this deck totally unupped. It does get easier when you upgrade the shields and pillars but it works. Even when I draw no shields or Aether Pillars in the opening hand, I still win sometimes. Hold out on putting your first shield out as long as you can. If you can last five turns (not hard to do really) before you drop the first shield then the game is in the bag as long as your shield chain doesn't break. If you can last longer than five turns the chances of the chain breaking go down a bit. The win rate is very acceptable. In two days I've upgraded the whole deck using the money from cards won.
I've found the deck plays a little more aggressively if you go with a Fire Mark, ten fire pillars, and four aether pillars. Your chances of lagging on the aether quantum generation go up a bit but it's a trade off for having more damage from Fahrenheit early on and getting the game over with a few turns earlier. On a good draw you can end the game with 10 cards remaining in your deck. If your pillars aren't upgraded it's probably better to stay with the aether mark and/or the five aether pillars. Taking the deck to 30 cards seemed to increase the reliability of the shield chain.
