Mirror Shield gives you a little more time to survive if you're forced to burn Phase/Dim Shields early or if the chain breaks. However, it gives you an additional chance to die when the Light Pend is on the bottom of your deck if you're staring at a Mirror/Jade Shield on the other side.

That's why it's best to leave reflective shield unupped, even if the pendulum is the last card if you have it upgraded you can instantly play the reflective shield, if don't have the upgraded version nova lets you automatically play it as well.

this works a lot better in mono with 2-3 fahrenheits and 6 lances, and the rest burning towers, youll be surprised how much damage combined with the fahrenheits  that could do, when i was new, I tested it out and defeated a surprising amount of players.

one thing to note, FGs != players

FG inherent advantage means that they can rush you quite easily and being mono means you dont have much defense hence why the inclusion of another element which provide what fire is lacking

against FG which is what this deck is meant to be used for, it certainly does NOT work better as mono

I didnt mean FGs.

(And in PVP it DOES work better as mono , I tested it out myself)

this is a discussion thread for anti-FG deck so saying mono works better is misleading because people come here to see an anti-FG deck

for discussion about the feasibility of mono fire in PvP, you might want to search the forum for 'fire stall' (newsflash: its nothing new) or just take a look in the fire subsection

Personally, I prefer a 2-3 Electrocutor build to improve my chances against gravity-based FGs.

Morte... I don't see how he is done. It may be my luck but he does massive damage very fast and a lot of poison... 9 or more. I must deploy first shield when 20 or 21 cards left and then it is poison or chain brake that kills me. any tips?
