I thought of phoenixes too but the fact is that it doesn't worth the effort having it be more stable as being a straightforward (and risky strategy) if it won't work you will probably loose the match, so taking your chance of deal more damage per turn it's the right thing in pvp taling.
As for the half bloods(maybe) the phoenixes may instead be a better choice.
+1 explosion for both if one want to feel more confident, but as i said before it's a matter of outrush the oppo, so not that much care in pc or similar things

The other nice thing about the phoenixes is that you can cremate them to get out another phoenix, and then next turn, resurrect the cremated one.

This is really strong, Great job Accuso. I was amazed at how I kept getting 6ttw even when I thought I was gonna lose because of a shield or explosions etc. This deserves more views imo.
